Perhaps we should ban atheists from possessing guns. I feel better if a God fearing man is behind the trigger.

Not only that, but given this long climate of threatening to ban guns, chances are people have hiding places for them if someone comes asking for them.

Difficult to believe this animal did not leave some prior indications of what he planned. Any word on mental status? It looks quite a bit like Columbine (PROZAC ! !)

________________________________________________

There were prior indications. New thread just posted indicates there were threatening texts from said idiot to his inlaws. Or former inlaws.

Who of course worshipped at this church.

To what extent this was forecasted or what if anything could have been done to prevent it - is immaterial now.

Long established is the fact that the gun confiscators will use fairy tales to try and get them.

Nobody is buying it. Even the Leftist base has to be relieved that the Republicans won’t budge on the absurdity.

STUPID IDIOT DOESN’T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE IN TYPES OF DISCHARGES!

More than 1 paper + UK papers say DISHONORABLE. + A HOSTAGE.

YOUNGEST VICTIM 18 MONTHS OLD.

Devin Patrick Kelley, who joined the military in 2010,was given a dishonorable discharge and slapped with 12 months of confinement in 2014 after his court marshaling, CBS News reported.

The military said Sunday that Kelly served in Logistics Readiness at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico from 2010 until his discharge.

The Pentagon also confirmed that Kelley was an airman “at one point,” but did not provide additional details.

Kelly was married and lived in a wooded area on the rural, western outskirts of New Braunfels, north of San Antonio.

His mother-in-law has a post-office box in Sutherland Springs, where he launched his massacre, about 50 minutes away.”

I doubt the store failed. The news said the guy bought guns in Colorado and Texas. You think all those stores failed to run NICS?

I have no doubt that this country's (and possibly Canada's) judicial system is a swamp into itself. Laws are made so dense and convoluted that the fate of the charged has so little to do with truth and justice and so much to do with money, connections, group identity, political agenda, etc..

YOU read my mind.. that close to the border it is entirely possible these were cartel guns, though I have been wrong on many things.

Expecting Walmart or Cabellas to have a friggin’ life time record on every customer is a ridiculous expectation. I have to doubt these guns were store bought.

Stores pull up what record they have on someone and move along.

REPORTER STUPID LIBTARD; DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE, 12 MONTHS DOMESTIC ABUSE, WHY’D IT TAKE 4 YRS FOR A COURT MARTIAL?

Democrats become suspiciously angry at denying someone a gun when that someone happens to be a convicted felon. Gee, I wonder why?

On the one hand, a deviant criminal used a PU truck to do murder, on the other hand, a good guy used a PU truck to trail and cover the deviant criminal who killed churchgoers.

Oh, and BTW, the church shooter used an illegal firearm to kill innocents, while the good guy with a gun used a legal firearm to engage and disrupt and even potentially stop/kill the bad guy....

If we “bitter clingers”/”deplorables” can figure out that it is not the “things” that are to blame, but rather the user and his intent.

But that may be beyond those who intend on destroying our right to liberty from govt tyranny. Just saying.

The Democrats continue to openly decrease penalties for criminals having and using guns, while they increase the laws that make the otherwise lawful citizens criminals for the same. It's all by design!

"However, a conviction does not include convictions from a summary court martial, Article 15 non-judicial punishment, deferred prosecution or diversion in a state or federal court, or convictions that are later set-aside or expunged."

Every single NJP or Court Martial conviction for DV I have seen resulted in application of the Lautenberg Act, sometimes NJP is not even required. The military uses a bizarre "star chamber" like court to deem the accusation substantiated or unsubstantiated. There is no judge or jury, just a line officer, a JAG, a Command Rep (my role in these cases) and a bunch of civilian PhD's and "victim advocates".

Once charged with DV, avoiding the Lautenberg Act is extremely difficult. Either the USAF or DOJ screwed up and didn't properly process his conviction, or the store where he purchased his weapon (Academy Sports according to reports) is in deep trouble.

According to published newspaper reports, 5 persons were killed and 24 others were wounded over the past weekend in Chicago shootings.

Of course, the media will not report on that because Chicago is Democrat controlled city.

Just a week ago, a muzzie killed 8 people in New York City by running them over with a pickup truck. Where are all the liberals? Why aren’t they calling for a ban on pickup trucks?

Maybe you didn't notice, they were too busy calling for more gun control immediately afterwards to even think about P.U. trucks.
