Late Friday morningArmy Judge Col. Jeffery R. Nance ruled Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl will not face prison time for walking off his base eight years ago and abandoning his platoon mates.
Bergdahl's defense argued he has been punished enough by being held captive by the Taliban, which radio traffic showed he purposely sought out, and shouldn't be subjected to further captivity. Nance bought it and Bergdahl will simply face a dishonorable discharge, have his rank stripped and will pay $10,000.
Good men died searching for Bergdahl. Here are their names.
But the consequences for Bergdahl's actions don't end with these brave men. The damage he did is far reaching and extensive.
And how about the five Taliban commanders President Obama let out of GITMO in a trade for Bergdahl? What are they up to?
The U.S. military and intelligence community now suspect that one of the five Taliban detainees released from Guantanamo Bay in return for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl in May of last year has attempted to return to militant activity from his current location in Qatar by making contact with suspected Taliban associates in Afghanistan, multiple officials tell CNN.
The development has led to an ongoing debate inside the administration about whether there is a new threat from this man, and potentially the other four.
Disgrace.

I know he did. Published the same day.
Sgt. Bergdahls Sentence May Be Lighter Because of Trumps Comments 10/30, 2017
I will consider the presidents comments as mitigation evidence as I arrive at an appropriate sentence, the judge, Col. Jeffery R. Nance of the Army, said during a hearing at Fort Bragg.
That's why I said,...
So much for that JAGoffs honor. He should be put on a jihadi watch list for the rest of his life.
Col. "Jihadi" Nance is a quavering surrender monkey who lies through his teeth.

Boots....
I say send the piece of sh*t Bergdhal to Gitmo.
He wanted to be with his “brothers”, he can go there and spend some quality time with them.
Hope you are well, buddy.

It makes sense to me. He’s a cheese-eating surrender monkey who never said on word about sitting President 0bama’s comments and the Rose Garden dog and pony show potentially influencing the court. Clearly it did!

Good men died in Benghazi because of Hillary but she gets off because her name is not Bergdahl. America where is your desire for justice?

The Judge should be ordered to meet these families in person.
To: Kaslin
He will be given back pay of about $300K and probably a book deal. The families of our dead and wounded heroes get nothing.

The president distorts the meaning of duty, honor, country
WASHINGTON TIMES, December 16, 2015
President Obama and his aides tried to cover Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl in glory, even receiving his parents at the White House. But contradictions in his story of captivity in Afghanistan have overturned the narrative.
Sgt. Bergdahl now faces a general court martial and similarly, Mr. Obamas exchange of terrorists imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay for his return is weighed in the court of public opinion.
Attempting to trade Americas security for a public relations coup disgraces the nation, and most of all, the president himself.
The Army charged Sgt. Bergdahl with desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, a serious indictment for which he could be sentenced to life in prison.
The 29-year-old soldier disappeared from his unit in Afghanistan in 2009.
He was captured by the Taliban and had been held in captivity for five years when the president traded him for five senior Taliban commanders imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay. No date has been set for the court martial.
The Pentagons sober announcement is a jarring departure from Mr. Obamas stagecraft in May 2014 when he appeared with the soldiers parents in the White House Rose Garden to celebrate the news that Sgt. Bergdahl had been freed.
The presidents national security apologist, Susan Rice, said he had served the United States with honor and distinction.
Then his fellow soldiers came forward to tell another story, that his disappearance had all the signs of desertion, and that a half-dozen American soldiers were killed searching for him. Some honor. Some distinction.
The Bergdahl case has become a symbol of Mr. Obamas determination to redeem his 2008 campaign pledge to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay, national security be damned.
The five Taliban evildoers are only the most notorious of the hundreds of foreign fighters the president has released over the years.
Mr. Obama rationalizes that the prison is a recruiting tool for terrorists. More accurately, Americas very existence is a recruiting tool for terrorists, and the presidents job is to defend the nation.

“I really doubt this wretched judges decision would have been any different even if Trump had said nothing.”
I agree. The judge was part of the script, like “Justice” Roberts, and would have found another reason to let the traitor walk.
People here still bashing Trump’s tweets, sad.
I’ll take Trump’s tweets any day of the week before Big Media propaganda and the “I wish Trump would stop tweeting” twits here.
