FBI agents manhandled Manafort and his wife during pre-dawn raid in intimidation effort
The Washington Times ^

Just how rough special counsel Robert Mueller is playing with Paul Manafort goes back before this week’s indictment — to the FBI’s no-knock raid in July.

It has been reported that the agents checked Mr. Manafort and wife Kathleen for guns as they broke into the Alexandria condo pre-dawn by picking the lock.

A source familiar with the case told The Washington Times the search was even more intrusive: An agent patted down Mrs. Manafort before she was allowed to get out of bed.

“Agents felt up Mrs. Manafort lying in bed to see if she had guns,” the source said of the intimidation.

The aggressive search of a prone sleepy woman is, the source said, a hallmark of Mr. Mueller’s top prosecutor, Andrew Weissmann. A former mob prosecutor in New York, he specializes in turning witnesses against bigger prey and is not afraid to make things rough for spouses, too.

Charges against Manafort refer to actions several years ago. There are charges of money laundering and concealing income to evade taxes but no charges of tax evasion. This is just a case of threatening someone until they implicate someone else.

Agents Weinstein and Clinton on the job, no doubt.

Are we allowed to shoot an unannounced intruder that picks the lock?

If a city police officer did this violent no knock raid against a white collar offender, with zero history of violence, and felt up his wife in bed... the cops would be investigated by the FBI and likely charged federally.

All of these tactics are designed to make a witness come up with testimony to support charges against a higher target. Whether or not the testimony is true is not important.

Personally, they would piss me off enough that I wouldn’t tell them anything even if I knew something that they wanted to hear.

Depends. Who’s behind the intrusion matters.

Disgusting. Remember this the next time someone says that Mueller might be a good guy. He is a bullying swamp monster, and he is not going to go after Podesta or Clinton.

Technically, “yes” in many states.

However, these lock pickers are just looking for an excuse to shoot back -— then they can make any accusation the want and there is no one left to rebut it.

All because Manafort dared to help Trump at the convention. Next time, no one will agree to work for him.

>>He is a bullying swamp monster, and he is not going to go after Podesta or Clinton.<<

Possibly because no agent would accept the assignment to feel up Hillary?

The Fourth Amendment protects us from “unreasonable” search and seizure.

Were Illegal Firearms (a blatant Violation of the Second Amendments admonishment “Shall not be Infringed”, but I digress) part of the Warrant?

If not, any found would be Inadmissible in a Court of Law, or should be.

If the FBI agents had to break into the house, that indicates that they did not have a warrant.

I recommend you research the “John Doe” investigation in Wisconsin that the Libs used as a trial run for these kinds of tactics, against Scott Walker, and see how many cops were investigated...
