The aggressive search of a prone sleepy woman is, the source said, a hallmark of Mr. Mueller’s top prosecutor, Andrew Weissmann. A former mob prosecutor in New York, he specializes in turning witnesses against bigger prey and is not afraid to make things rough for spouses, too.

Charges against Manafort refer to actions several years ago. There are charges of money laundering and concealing income to evade taxes but no charges of tax evasion. This is just a case of threatening someone until they implicate someone else.

Agents Weinstein and Clinton on the job, no doubt.

Are we allowed to shoot an unannounced intruder that picks the lock?

If a city police officer did this violent no knock raid against a white collar offender, with zero history of violence, and felt up his wife in bed... the cops would be investigated by the FBI and likely charged federally.

All of these tactics are designed to make a witness come up with testimony to support charges against a higher target. Whether or not the testimony is true is not important.

Personally, they would piss me off enough that I wouldn’t tell them anything even if I knew something that they wanted to hear.

Disgusting. Remember this the next time someone says that Mueller might be a good guy. He is a bullying swamp monster, and he is not going to go after Podesta or Clinton.

The Fourth Amendment protects us from “unreasonable” search and seizure.

Were Illegal Firearms (a blatant Violation of the Second Amendments admonishment “Shall not be Infringed”, but I digress) part of the Warrant?

If not, any found would be Inadmissible in a Court of Law, or should be.

“It has been reported that the agents checked Mr. Manafort and wife Kathleen for guns as they broke into the Alexandria condo pre-dawn by picking the lock.”

If the FBI agents had to break into the house, that indicates that they did not have a warrant.

Maybe I'm wrong, and I guess they have to be ready for anything, but I find it hard to believe that Manafort and his wife would be planning to engage in a gun fight with the FBI.

If they were trying to escape and hide out in the wilderness, they would have done it several days ago.

Some of these guys just like to rough people up.

Just thinking how it would go if they were forced to search Hillary’s.

Dear Hillary we will be searching your residence 3 weeks from today starting at 1PM. Please leave milk and cookies by the door.

She is a reasonably attractive but non-threatening woman, and the charges, such as they are, are white collar. A pat-down search is reprehensible misconduct purely for intimidation (or worse). These people disgust me.

This kind of government thuggery has been bipartisan. Shamefully, most conservatives betrayed Liberty and became statist bootlickers after 9/11. We are still dealing with the consequences of conservatives enthusiastically supporting Dubya’s un-Constitutional police state.

No knock raids need to end except in very specific and narrow circumstances. That’s just one of dozens of major changes we need to restore Liberty.

“Agents felt up Mrs. Manafort lying in bed to see if she had guns, ...”

Agents? Plural?

Did they at least offer the courtesy of having a female FBI agent available to handle this task knowing Manafort is married?

America is now a Police State. Shameful.

Obama literally got away with murder (Benghazi), weaponizing the DOJ, the Intel Community, the FBI and the IRS and nothing, not a peep out of Congress. NADA!

I’m going to assume they didn’t have a rat terrier that hears things from the basement and 20 feet out front? Radar ears. And her sense of smell catching their adrenaline would have set her off, too.

As for the sexual assault, did they do the same to the Mr?
