But how do you respond to the IRS, if someone from that fed agency who asks that what you propose will hurt the poor?
Ryan and Mitch are right on it. /s
(I have always been a big fan of Draco the Lawgiver.)
Mine as well.....................
BTW, it’s one reason I declare an extra exemption that causes me to owe money at tax time, rather than get a refund. I sent them the check and it’s already been processed. I’m not giving the government a tax-free loan so they can pretend to be Santa Claus by giving me part of it back. I don’t play the silly game of waiting for a refund check to arrive.
I calculate my tax return every February and then send them the check the final week before April 15th. Then it’s forgotten and I move on with my life.
WHAT DOES THE JUDGE IN HAWAII THINK?????
The IRS’ move, which will bolster compliance with Affordable Care Act rules, comes as the Trump administration takes other steps to undercut the law. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
President Trump needs to clean up the IRS.
And he needs top act quickly.
Your post reminds me of why I go the The Donald on Reddit more frequently these days. It’s much more positive over there.
IRS calls it a “silent return”. when nothing is checked on line 61 indicating whether you had coverage for the whole year or not.
They were sidelining silent returns this year after the E.O..
The IRS doesn’t know what to do so they send a letter asking the question to the taxpayer. They say they are trying to follow the law. In their view, the law must be changed or altered in order for them to follow it.
Quite frankly the law needs to be changed. How does IRS program their computers for an E.O.?
I’m not defending them, I’m just telling you what their logic is. They also wait on Congress every year for extender legislation and cannot program their computers until late December. The real problem is in Congress.
My friends from Canada are shocked at the lack of freedom we are experiencing here in the US.
They are constant visitors and have seen the erosion of American freedom over the past 55 years.
Tax law. Forced submission to government controls.
Isn’t that bastard Koskinen still befouling the IRS?
(and that’s hard to do.)
That FAIRtax will help all of us, not just the poor.
The following was quoted FRom http://www.fairtaxplan.org/faq_item.php?id=14:
“Question: How does the Fair Tax protect low-income families and individuals and retirees on fixed incomes?
“Answer: Under the Fair Tax plan, poor people pay no federal taxes at all up to the poverty level! Every household receives a rebate that is equal to the Fair Tax paid on essential goods and services, and wage earners are no longer subject to the most regressive and burdensome tax of all, the payroll tax. Those spending at twice the poverty level will pay a tax of only 11.5 percent a rate much lower than the income and payroll tax burden they bear today. Moreover, slow economic growth and recessions have a disproportionately adverse impact on lower income families. Breadwinners in these families are more likely to lose their jobs, are less likely to have the resources to weather bad economic times, and are more in need of the initial employment opportunities that a dynamic, growing economy provides. The Fair Tax dramatically improves economic growth and wage rates. Retaining the present tax system makes economic progress needlessly slow, thus harming low-income people the most.”
FU IRS!
Well, you got that right!
This merits a POTUS waiver.
The IRS doesnt know what to do so they send a letter asking the question to the taxpayer.

I have a two letter response to their question. The first letter is “F.”
It was overbearing taxation that started the first revolution. So, now we have come full circle.
I’m self employed and lost my insurance due to the Obamacare scam, ridiculous increase in cost. I’m am just waiting for them to send me a bill for the “fine” or even mention a “fine” because no kidding, I am going to print out a 10 foot photo of my middle finger and send it right back to them. They ain’t pushing their statist BS on me.
