They just cannot permit a single place where boys can be boys. Any like a convoy having to go the pace of the slowest ship, the Cub Scouts will have to adjust every single thing to the girls needs.

I’m under no delusions that Scouts, as an organization, is on the downhill slope, and that’s unfortunate. The fact of the matter is, though, that it still has great value.
In my small town in northern Minnesota, we hear and read about the changes coming. The vast majority of us don’t embrace these erosions. Fortunately, it hasn’t affected us up here. It very well might...someday.
I was already reading about the changes when my son started as a Tiger Cub in first grade. I thought twice about getting him (and us) involved. We were Den Leaders all the way through his Cub Scout career. He crossed over, and I started as the Troop Secretary, and my wife as Advancement Coordinator.
Two days ago (this Monday), my son earned his Eagle Scout, and is very proud of it. I’m very proud of him, and proud of myself and my wife for the contribution we’ve made to this historic organization.
The local Boy Scout Troop is not the BSA... anymore than local Minnesota Families represent the liberal bastions of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
The longer good people are involved in Scouting, the longer it will remain an excellent, valuable resource for crafting young men... at the local level— which is where it counts.
Who didn’t see this coming? Raise your hands...That’s what I thought.
While the BSA has trended left for a while, they still are farther right compared to the Girl Scouts.
I think the Boy Scouts also have a much more varied assortment of merit badges across many skills and disciplines. This may be a benefit to girls who may have an interest in firearms, archery, and other skills not available in the Girl Scouts.
I’m sure the Girl Scouts are fuming over this move, as they don’t want to lose membership and their centralized organization relies in part on money sent up from troops - and cookie sales.
I’m going to be cautious to see how this turns out but knowing it really annoys the Girl Scout organization is a small plus in my book.
Girls 4H projects included cooking, sewing, gardening and home furnishing.
Boys 4H projects mostly had to do with raising animals.
Many girls were in Boys 4H. Nobody thought a thing about it.
I expect there are girls that would like to learn survival skills and I say why not.
Remember this ALL started with Homosexual "rights" and the incremental erosion of our culture by these malcontents.
