In a historic change, the Boy Scouts are announcing plans to admit girls into the Cub Scouts starting next year and to establish a new program for older girls using the same curriculum as the Boy Scouts.
Under the plan announced Wednesday, Cub Scout dens the smallest unit will be single-gender, either all-boys or all-girls. The larger Cub Scout packs will have the option to welcome both genders if they choose.

Ping to the Banglist buddies and GGG Crowd.
Cannibalism is not cool, dude.
Ah, thanks.
There won’t even be such a thing as boys or girls eventually.
Satan at work.
So is pedophilia.
While the BSA has trended left for a while, they still are farther right compared to the Girl Scouts.
I think the Boy Scouts also have a much more varied assortment of merit badges across many skills and disciplines. This may be a benefit to girls who may have an interest in firearms, archery, and other skills not available in the Girl Scouts.
I’m sure the Girl Scouts are fuming over this move, as they don’t want to lose membership and their centralized organization relies in part on money sent up from troops - and cookie sales.
I’m going to be cautious to see how this turns out but knowing it really annoys the Girl Scout organization is a small plus in my book.
I had forgotten that but my post never had a girl when I was a member. We specialized in winter camping and canoeing. Our last outing after high school was a week of canoeing on the lakes of the Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. Rowing a canoe in one to two foot lake swells in a driving rain was a trip and a half. One of the guys cut his foot open with an ax and a couple of our HS track team members went decathlon style on the logging trails to the nearest Mountie station. Several hours later we got to watch as an RCMP Aircraft landed on the lake to airlift him to the hospital.
Sigh. I have to agree with you, CoadToad.
I was in scouting, I enjoyed it, I liked the concepts, but I cannot support Scouts in any form anymore.
Me too :-((
Okay, thanks.
Girls 4H projects included cooking, sewing, gardening and home furnishing.
Boys 4H projects mostly had to do with raising animals.
Many girls were in Boys 4H. Nobody thought a thing about it.
I expect there are girls that would like to learn survival skills and I say why not.
Remember this ALL started with Homosexual "rights" and the incremental erosion of our culture by these malcontents.

Sad. More cultural rot.

Easier to curse the darkness?
My first reaction was WTF?
Upon further reflection it leads to a question:
Is the Girl Scouts such a coven of witches, that the BSA believes there is an opportunity to swell their ranks with refugees from the Girl Scouts?
You have to have a form signed by all parents in a GS troop to just light a candle. My daughter was a GS and they kept changing the Gold Award rules until she just gave up.
The leaders were trying to “urbanize” it while turning it into a snowflake factory.
will be single-gender, either all-boys or all-girls.
= = =
So are these chromosome boys and girls, or self-declared boys and girls?
I honestly can’t tell a difference anymore.
Don’t worry,
Jesus is coming soon!
The Girl Scouts was taken over by liberals more than a decade ago, to the point where a third of the paid employees were lesbian and they set policies to discourage stay at home mothers volunteering because they said those women were bad role models. And enrollment started to drop.
