Twitter has blocked Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn's (Tenn.) Senate campaign announcement ad, ruling that a pro-life statement was "inflammatory."
At one point in the video, Blackburn, who announced last week that she is running for the Senate in Tennessee, heralded how she "stopped the sale of baby body parts," a reference to her investigation into Planned Parenthood's reported practice of "donating" body parts in return for monetary compensation.
But a Twitter representative told the Blackburn campaign that Twitter blocked the ad from being promoted, calling it "an inflammatory statement that is likely to evoke a strong negative reaction," the Associated Press reported Monday. Twitter said that Blackburn would have to repost the video without the flagged statement in order to advertise.
Instead, Blackburnwho is vying to replace Sen. Bob Corker (R., Tenn.), who will not seek another termtweeted out a call to action on Facebook and Twitter, asking her followers to share the video themselves.
"Twitter shut down our announcement video ad, claiming it was inflammatory' & negative.' Silicon Valley should not be allowed to impose their values on us," she wrote on Facebook. "Join me in standing up to the liberal elite."
Blackburn's claim comes months after pro-life organization Live Action also reported that Twitter refused to let the group promote its adds unless it deleted tweets critical of Planned Parenthood.
That move by Twitter just got her more viewers for her message than anything she could have done.
You would think Twitter is working for her campaign.
Yet twitter is fine with people making death threats against our President..oh and ISIS can tweet too..but post ANYTHING Pro Life and they remove it
All that should matter is it's veracity.
But Twitter, why on earth do you think that selling babies’ body parts is “inflammatory”? Surely you approve of baby killing, don’t you?
Should Trump do a Bob Corker and condem Twitter? Lotta followers there.
Very bad decision on Twitter’s part. Blocking active bonafide politicians will bring them nothing but grief regulations.
So twitter is actively supporting one candidate over another in this race?
How much is that campaign contribution worth?

The veracity of her statement is exactly what the left is worried about.
The backlash is proof
Free speech lawsuits? Freedom to run business? OK, I get it. But the side that Twitter supports has killed about 200 million of their own citizens, mainly for holding conservative views. I would just ask for social justice to equalize the body count on the lib/commie side.
It’s like a public utility to operate google or FB they control a significant share of that service. Rules apply that don’t apply to competitive businesses.
Yes, and they apply the rules to fit their biased narrative.
Thank Goodness that EVERYTHING these Socialist businesses do and/or rail against end up benefiting Conservatives in one way or another!
