The girlfriend of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock is still a person of interest, police said Tuesday.

Marilou Danley is currently in the Philippines and has been talking to US authorities, Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo said.

“Currently, she’s a person of interest,” he added.

Someone took pics before it was pulled, and posted them on-line. There was no evidence of anything Muslim or radical. All her contacts were Filipino women, and the conversation was about family, friends, children, and travel.

Which is not to deny that she might have known or suspected something bad was going on, and might share some culpability. She might have been a gold-digger who got out of Dodge when she suspected something bad was afoot.
