Dr. Michael Welner offers insight on Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock on 'Fox & Friends.'
Damn. How are they gonna know if he had a brain tumor now?
Ugly ass carpet, too.
Whatever the reason, your explanation is as good as any.
Yes, in a way they do have “Congress-critter” down to a science. “:^)
Something to keep in mind here is that many of these media people are dumber than bags of rocks, so it's not like they can understand what the professional is saying anyway.
TV interviews are just bad news all around. LOL.
A few times the doctor launched his own political comments, which doesn't seem all that professional, and might have been intended to distract from his lack of insight about Paddock. Apparently Dr. Welner was once a spokesperson for Ross Perot.
This interview is probably the best you’re going to get from a forensic psychiatrist on any similar subject. It’s easy to get a lawyer on TV to talk about legal points or an accountant to talk about tax law, but for medical matters you’re always going to have serious limitations when the expert is someone who never examined the person in question.
That comment about the Congressional shooter, was silly, and a good example of what happens after an event like this.
Some idiot or another comes along and attributes all sorts of ulterior motives to the shooter, when all the shooter was trying to do was make a statement.
He didn’t like Conservative Republicans. Does anyone really think he was crafting these killings to force new elections and thus a proliferation of his importance?
No. He just wanted to kill those “bad” (in his mind) people.
He didn’t think far enough ahead to realize that even more conservative people would have been appointed or elected to replace them, based on his crime.
Yawn. Another brain butcher heard from.
The doctor seemed to discount this possibility, but it still seems plausible.
Bump
From what the doctor was saying, I assumed that he had knowledge of some sort of manifesto left behind by the congressional shooter. If the doctor was just speculating, then that is silly and irresponsible.
Well, if he did I should stand corrected.
The guy was so disjointed I stopped watching about 25-33% in.
He wasn’t making any sense at all.
“If you can’t clearly explain something to your grandmother, then you don’t really understand it.”
- Albert Einstein
it is amazing that so many “experts” really don’t know what they are talking about.
Had this guy ever exhibited any cruel or violent behavior in childhood? Had he ever been considered strange by his peer group? His father was a criminal; what was his mother like? The rage was probably simmering; he might have been a volcano waiting to erupt for the longest time.
Considering his gambling passion, I wondered how much an addiction to risk or cheap thrills played into this, along with a need for power. The victims were all in an enclosed area, making them sitting ducks. He could feel omnipotent.
Just my .02.
Psychology/psychiatry is 90% pseudoscience propagated largely by mentally defective people trying to solve themselves in my experience.
His brother seemed ... odd. The wide eyes. The ‘hit by an asteroid.’
He also lacked any emotional response for either his brother or those that were harmed or the families of the dead.
Then to say his brother has no politics at all? Odd.
John F Kerry’s group discussed assassinating enough politicians to turn the tide on congressionsl support for war in vietnam
Wouldn’t surprise me, but I wasn’t aware of it.
I may have read about it at one time, but it didn’t stick with me.
I noticed that two what’s up, I saw other pics with the 13? I confused but that’s nothing new.
