Mr. Trumps inability to deliver victory to Mr. Strange suggests he wont be able to reliably harness the antiestablishment political movement that he unleashed within the GOP and rode to the White House in the 2016 campaign.
Many Republicans believed that Mr. Moore, an anti-incumbent outsider, was more in line with the spirit of the Trump 2016 campaign than Mr. Strange

The anti-Trump GOPe are twisting themselves into pretzels, just like the NFL. Ain't it grand?
Glad to see Moore win; good outcome. Would have been better if Trump had endorsed him.
Trump was extending an olive branch to El Tortuga. Won’t happen again.
The populist GOP march continues, while the silver spoon in the mouth, country clubbers, like Jeb Bush, Paul Cryan, Bitch McConnell are dragged kicking and screaming away from their pork lobbyists.
2018 will prove even Moore interesting.
The Donald has to understand, the RINO country club GOP will give him nothing, not even a repeal of Obama Care. The Donald needs to get it AND HIT THE ROAD TO POLITICAL WARFARE.....Buy every Dem he can.THEY ARE ALWAYS FOR SALE.

The Congressional ‘Rats are too into taking a knee to be able to help Trump.
The WSJ is way off base -— again. For Trump its a win-win.
Strange was the incumbent. The President played by party rules. You will also note Trump said NOTHING negative about Roy Moore.
Whichever one came out on top, Trump could support in the General against a weak DEM. He’ll get his man in the Senate.
I would invite any of the intellectual writers for the Wall Street Journal to come down into Alabama and have a chat with locals. The vast majority will tell you that Luther Strange was a corrupted guy....connected to Governor (ex-governor actually) Bentley. There’s nothing that Strange says....that doesn’t connect back in some way lobbyists or McConnell-insiders.
In this case, I don’t think a single writer for the WSJ did more than read script from some lobbyist and made up a headline copy for the paper.
will the President sit out MS GOP primary if Chris McDaniel challenges Wicker
Trump did what he had to do to feign cooperation w swamp leader, and Bannon, Palin and Gorka delivered the stealth kill to Looter Strange.
MM lost big. Corker quit, others will feel the heat and comply w Trump or quit also.
Moore is better.
You can stick a Corker in Lex Luther, he done.
Well done!
I’m hoping you’re correct. It makes sense.
I think it’s a win-win for conservatives.
The WSJ “intellectuals” would be lucky to find Alabama on a map!
The Congressional Rats are too into taking a knee to be able to help Trump.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Money talks, bullshit walks.
Buy a dem today.
They are all for sale.......and the president is a very skillful buyer.
Watch it happen.
You will also note Trump said NOTHING negative about Roy Moore.
The Tea Party is dead. /s
Deplorables see what President Trump doesn't yet accept. DC sewer rats (swampthings is too kind) are not going to respect the voters and fulfill campaign promises. Senator Moore, the people's candidate, has a nice ring to it. A true Deplorable has won the nomination.
