well, the morons at wsj think Trump won't be able to deliver antiestablishment voters in 2018, but Moore obviously was one. This is the most convoluted argument I've ever read.

The anti-Trump GOPe are twisting themselves into pretzels, just like the NFL. Ain't it grand?

Glad to see Moore win; good outcome. Would have been better if Trump had endorsed him.

The populist GOP march continues, while the silver spoon in the mouth, country clubbers, like Jeb Bush, Paul Cryan, Bitch McConnell are dragged kicking and screaming away from their pork lobbyists.

2018 will prove even Moore interesting.

The Donald has to understand, the RINO country club GOP will give him nothing, not even a repeal of Obama Care. The Donald needs to get it AND HIT THE ROAD TO POLITICAL WARFARE.....Buy every Dem he can.THEY ARE ALWAYS FOR SALE.

It's GLORIOUS !

I've been watching the playback of the LIVE vote count returns and the speeches .
It's a great thing to see on this YouTube Channel: It's a channel that I think all CONSERVATIVES should subscribe to.

From "Art in Idaho" the thread "Live Election Results: U.S. Senate Primary Runoff in Alabama" Comment # 469 :

Alabama Runoff General Election December 15 2017 .

The WSJ is way off base -— again. For Trump its a win-win.

Strange was the incumbent. The President played by party rules. You will also note Trump said NOTHING negative about Roy Moore.

Whichever one came out on top, Trump could support in the General against a weak DEM. He’ll get his man in the Senate.

I would invite any of the intellectual writers for the Wall Street Journal to come down into Alabama and have a chat with locals. The vast majority will tell you that Luther Strange was a corrupted guy....connected to Governor (ex-governor actually) Bentley. There’s nothing that Strange says....that doesn’t connect back in some way lobbyists or McConnell-insiders.

In this case, I don’t think a single writer for the WSJ did more than read script from some lobbyist and made up a headline copy for the paper.

President Trump on several occasions has tried to be fair minded to 'pubs in power. He has consistently endorsed DC's elected pols. He has gotten NOTHING in return. It's the old game of the pols taking turns voting against his agenda.

Deplorables see what President Trump doesn't yet accept. DC sewer rats (swampthings is too kind) are not going to respect the voters and fulfill campaign promises. Senator Moore, the people's candidate, has a nice ring to it. A true Deplorable has won the nomination.

Right -- I was scratching my head over that one.

"President Trump calls NFL players who won't stand for the national anthem 'sons of b!tches.' NFL players all defiantly stand for the national anthem ten days later in a show of unity against the president. His support is obviously declining rapidly."

WTF?

President Trump probably delivered one of the most faint of endorsements to Luther Strange that has ever been registered by a sitting President, and he also signaled that Roy Moore would be entirely acceptable.

The deal here was that Trump would APPEAR to be conciliatory toward Mitch McConnell, in hopes that a carrot would work better than a stick in wheedling McConnell to get busy and do the job he was supposed to, marshaling the Presidential nominations for various posts through the Senate, and blowing up the filibuster rule once and for all, plus applying some good old-fashioned party discipline to the Republican majority in the Senate. A majority, that by the way, would not have existed except for the presence of Donald Trump as the Presidential candidate in 2016.

Believe it or not, Trump DID have some coattail effect on the election, that simply would not have been there with any other Republican candidate. Trump brought out a LOT of people that would otherwise have simply stayed home, and Herself would have won by default.

Of course, by now Herself would have fallen again and again, flat on her face, and not just because of the Chardonnay. Pennsylvania Avenue would have to be renamed Faceplant Street. The Congress would have been falling on its face too, if a Democrat majority had been delivered to the Senate, and the House Republicans pared down to a bare majority.

And the Supreme Court would have been lost for a generation or more.

Trump n the GOP came out against Moore. Because trump said he isn’t electable in the general. They love corruptocrat strange tho.
Sounds like they don’t want Moore to win the general. Why?
Trump calls the people he disagrees with great guys on a pretty regular basis.
Trump, Pelosi n shumer have another deal going on. #RollTide And you can keep your corruptocrat strange trump.
