Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper appears on CNN last night to deny knowledge of the wiretapping of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
In March Clapper stated he would specifically have known if a FISA warrant was issued against any Trump campaign officials. Last night Clapper stated he held no knowledge of the FISA warrant. Clapper is walking through a legal minefield.

One of the biggest stories that hasn't gotten attention in recent days is the demand from Paul Manafort's attorney for Mueller's team to turn over all of the transcripts of this surveillance.
The irony here is that this illicit surveillance may end up protecting Manafort from prosecution. LOL.

It’s sickening the level of deception. The article goes on to state that Comey testified that he told clapper et al, so if he’s telling the truth *cough* then Clapper is lied and continues to lie. If Comey was lying and didn’t tell Clapper, the the FBI is screwed.

Very good point. Not only that, his lawyers are probably drafting requests to see extremely sensitive information that the government might not be willing to divulge, further complicating any legal proceedings.
Interesting. I had read the other day that you could not get a FISA warrant without an approved investigation. This could expose some corruption.

I would be optimistic that these liars would be held accountable, except for the GOP. They will stand by and do nothing.

The latest CNN spin is that Obama used secret FISA's to spy on Manafort, that was discontinued for lack of evidence. Presto---then a shiny new FISA appeared as if by magic.
This is a pattern of FISA abuses by the Obama Syndicate which never allows minor details like lack of evidence to dissuade them from new FISA requests.
Desperate Obama cronies figured out that they could bypass limitations on conventional investigations of the political opponents they despised by ‘laundering’ them through "national security."
So if the Obama Syndicate found (A) any of Trump’s people talking to ANY non-Americans, (B) they got a FISA to spy on them.
The redacted names of innocent Americans got quickly unmasked by Obama knee-padders Susan Rice, Samantha Power, and others.
