The black family was stronger the first 100 years after slavery than during what will be the second 100 years.
That the problems of today’s black Americans are a result of a legacy of slavery, racial discrimination, and poverty has achieved an axiomatic status, thought to be self-evident and beyond question.
This is what academics and the civil rights establishment have taught. But as with so much of what’s claimed by leftists, there is little evidence to support it.
The No. 1 problem among blacks is the effects stemming from a very weak family structure. Family Structure
Children from fatherless homes are likelier to drop out of high school, die by suicide, have behavioral disorders, join gangs, commit crimes, and end up in prison. They are also likelier to live in poverty-stricken households.
But is the weak black family a legacy of slavery?
In 1960, just 22 percent of black children were raised in single-parent families. Fifty years later, more than 70 percent of black children were raised in single-parent families.
Here’s my question: Was the increase in single-parent black families after 1960 a legacy of slavery, or might it be a legacy of the welfare state ushered in by the War on Poverty?
According to the 1938 Encyclopaedia of the Social Sciences, that year 11 percent of black children were born to unwed mothers. Today about 75 percent of black children are born to unwed mothers.
Is that supposed to be a delayed response to the legacy of slavery?

I worked in public assistance in the 60’s. Families could not receive welfare if an adult man lived in the home. The law of unintended consequences created a matriarchal culture in the black community that persists today.
It did not take a genius, even then, to see this system created more dependence than it ever sought to overcome. The bureaucracy was then and is now oblivious to the evil it does.
Didn’t Senator Patrick Moynihan write about this in the 1960s? At the time, welfare was for mothers on their own (in fact, until it was ruled unConstitutional, social workers would come to the women’s homes to check that there was no evidence of a man living with the recipient),and the senator thought this would lead to increased illegitimacy, and here we are.
And with the legalization of abortion, we are no longer able to in any way mention that unwed parenthood is not good, since abortion then becomes the route taken.

You’d think that after 50 years of promises that the black community would ask questions about the Democrats.
The solution is so glaringly obvious and yet it is a tough one because they have to admit that the problem and solution are with them... and the failure of the family unit.
A strong family can survive a lot including racism and evil. But this is never offered as an explanation. And the failures span generations.
The democRats are “masters” of waste, fraud and corruption. Why they’re just natural slave masters and they have the resume to prove it.
All THIS along with what Trump said about the EVIL’s of socialism should be taught to EVERY American child instead of the global warming, America hating, homo agenda being pushed now!

Leftists are THE most bigoted people out there. They will use all their means, and by force if necessary, to make you do what they deem is best for you.
In the case of poor people, and black people, they are convinced the people as a whole cannot do it themselves because they are not capable without the bigoted leftists help. Therefore, make it easy for them to live in poverty by giving them everything. This, instead of assisting people to gain pride and knowledge by earning for themselves.
