CBS News: Manafort wiretaps may have picked up conversations with Trump

According to CBS, conversations between Manafort and Trump may have been scooped up in the surveillance:

Long before the special counsel began investigating Russian meddling in the U.S. election — and whether anyone in the Trump campaign was involved — Paul Manafort was the target of an FBI investigation. It included electronic surveillance of the one-time Trump campaign chairman....the surveillance on Manafort occurred during the 2016 presidential campaign.

According to a former U.S. official, the intercepts picked up conversations between Manafort and Russian individuals about the campaign. The intercepts potentially include conversations between Manafort and President Trump....

If the Manafort surveillance, including during the campaign and transition, picked up conversations with Trump and other campaign members, that would lend more credence to Trump’s claim that he was wiretapped....

The media, of course, focuses on the precise wording of the Trump tweet in which the claim was made, but...The issue is not the wording of Trump’s tweets, but what the FBI and intelligence community did to surveil Manafort and others involved in the campaign and transition.

It is not illegal to talk with someone who speaks Russia, including Ukrainians, Poles, Czechs, Bulgarians and many others whose nations were at one time under the control of the USSR in which Russian was spoken everywhere.

There are many Russian-speaking persons in Manhattan and there are many Russian-speaking business persons in business internationally. Whether they are linked to Moscow intelligence or not would not be known because they would not say if they were. They sell oil, they sell ores no different than so many other persons operating businesses selling internationally. It is not illegal to talk to them about buying their oil or iron ore or used tires, etc.

Manafort was transacting business. If the Creep Mueller has clear evidence that Manafort was operating as a counterspy for Moscow, let him arrest Manafort. He has no evidence. Mueller should be arrested for deliberate harassment of a US Citizen for no other reason than he was connected to a candidate who beat their Vagina.

Even today this sick mind known as Hillary Rodham is saying she will contest the 2016 election results when, not if, but when Mueller charges the Trump Team with obstruction of justice.

All of this despicable behavior was brought on by the spineless gutless action of Jeff Sessions.

When the whole story is told, it will be amazing.

I think President Trump has to go very carefully on this, because the full scope of the crimes of the Obama Administration are so huge that — if they are not handled carefully — Trump opens himself up to charges that he's just making it up. That's how unbelievable the whole story is going to be.

President Trump has to make sure all the details are backed up and provable. Good news is he has three whole years to do it.

FISA judges, crooked or not, routinely rubber stamp any federal government request for a wiretap. I suspect the judges are less crooked and more overly trusting.
