In the 1980s, I had a boss who had gotten a masters degree in psychology from New York University. He was a brilliant man; could have been a doctor. He told me a story that explains much of what we see in society today.
It seems that while doing his graduate work in the early 1960s, he had to do research on lab rats, which were given the synthetic hormones used in the then new birth control pills. The results, he told me, showed that the grandchildren of these lab rats would have high rates of homosexual behaviors. From what he told me, the findings were suppressed. Apparently, the powers that be wanted the pill to pass muster. What happened to the second generation of rats that followed was of no consequence to them.
Then my boss told me: The first generation of kids born to mothers using the pill have already arrived. But we should expect in another generation a noticeable increase in homosexual behavior, as they would be the second generation. As that was then still in the future, I was shocked.
This was told me in the mid '80s. By his reckoning, we should have seen a societal explosion of homosexuality starting around 2000, and subsequently. And, of course, we have seen such an explosion. His prediction came true.
Now, to many classic conservatives whether religious or merely social homosexuality is a choice, something which can be learned and/or unlearned. The problem is: There is a degree of evidence that it may be contrariwise in some individuals.
I invite one to look at this short CBS 60 Minutes documentary about what happens to lab rats treated with sex hormones early on their development.

huh?
Inmates in the federal pen show that sexual interest is a little more fluid than you indicate. Also if your mom’s boyfriend started sneaking into your room when you were 5 it might alter what happens when you are 11.
“Gender is Fluid”
Do you mean that tyranny fluid isn’t transmission oil?
An area famous for men didling boys and you would be hard pressed to find a spot on earth with lower exposure to birth control pills.
“How do you explain Afghanistan?”
I can do this.
But I’m going to need a goat and two volunteers from the audience.
But it blames synthetic hormones. The Bible talks about homosexuals way before there was the pill. Explain that.
It is absolutely a behavior. But how many murderers or thieves wrap up their whole sense of self in the things they do?
There is then the crude external sin, the behavior as homosexuals act out their lusts; but, before that is the sin in the mind, in the heart, that draws them to the behaviors they subsequently act out.
These TOO are acts, but can they not arise in the confused and confusing infantile, in the passion and not reason.
I’m speaking of “feels”, and not “thinks”. Try to argue with a heart flutter or a moment of fancy, it is an exercise in interrogating madness. Even the proper object for what caused these may be misinterpreted!
With no grounding in even mere morality (as has been under constant attack in this culture for many years) what has a worldling at their disposal to correct the odd feeling, to place it in a correct context (and thereby escape it) or even to rebuke it?
Remember, the enemy of our souls is not flesh and blood. When people refuse to retain knowledge of God, especially if to chase after some imitation that only apes the faith, do they and their communities retain any hedge of protection from those enemies?
Godliness creates an influence where protecting the Saints protects the sinners too ... at least to some degree. Carnality does the opposite, for in the filth of the world even Saints are troubled and spattered with what those partying in their cesspool splash about in. The former restrains the Devil. The latter is his opportunity.
Consider how remarkably spot on Romans 1:18-32 really is. It doesn’t start with homosexuality, nor does end there ... but like a proverbial canary in a coal mine which dies, rather than be alarmed and take notice (as real world miners would do) those whom are bring turned over redouble their efforts. The canaries have been dropping like ... canaries ... but the party hearty is only picking up speed and the madness brought on by the foul sir is taking on new forms (genderism, notably), even crazier forms.

Apparently, not if you have a Clutch.
Clutch.
Islam, Culture, Low IQ, in breeding and behavioral psychology. Regardless, your point is moot as this article suggests but a contributing factor rather than an all encompassing cause. The question would be: would the rate of the homosexual disorder increase with introduction of the pill....
Incorrect.
Tolerating the libertine is wrong. These are not victimless is dies. They have led to this present madness and to these people running amuck in society. The whole polluted culture and the ruin of many lives, this is harm that is done.
Homosexual acts should have ALWAYS been illegal. Frankly, so too should have been sex outside of marriage.
Sigh ... typos ... “Is dies” somehow emerged from “issues”, my pudgy fingers, and auto-correct.
What other behaviors should we excuse or celebrate because of chemicals?
Regardless of the cause, it shows that homosexuality is heritable, thus genetic, thus no ‘choice.’
just from the headline does homosexuality require birth control?
How would it be hereditary? Homosexuals can’t procreate.
The powers that be have been desperately trying to make a genetic connection for decades, all to no avail. While I do believe estrogen in large doses has long term ill effects, the increased frequency of homosexuality isn’t one of them any more than people eating more cheese turns their grandchildren into surrender monkeys.
As the article says, it was passed down from the mother. Is that not hereditary? Besides, sexual response is physiological, ie, involuntary. If you’re a straight man, can you choose to get turned on by another guy’s hairy butt? I know I couldn’t.
Is there an increasing frequency, or is it people coming out who would have remained closeted in the past?
