Bannon on 60 Minutes: I Hold Bush Admin ‘Geniuses’ in ‘Complete Contempt’
Breitbart.com ^ | 10 Sep 2017 | Tony Lee

Posted on 09/11/2017 5:12:24 AM PDT by Rockitz

Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon blasted the “geniuses” in former President George W. Bush’s administration for selling out American workers and getting the country stuck in the Middle East in a 60 Minutes interview with CBS anchor Charlie Rose.

Bannon took offense at establishment Republicans associated with the Bush administration who went out of their way to question President Donald Trump’s competence during the 2016 campaign even though nearly all of their “genius” ideas—like Paul Wolfowitz’s brand of nation-building and neoconservatism—turned out to be disastrous.

“I hold these people in contempt, total and complete contempt,” Bannon told Rose, adding that the former Bush administration officials get him riled up with anger like nothing else. “They’re idiots, and they’ve gotten us in this situation, and they question a good man like Donald Trump.”

Bannon blasted “the geniuses in the Bush administration that let China in the W.T.O.,” and reminded Rose that the “genius in the Bush administration told us, ‘Hey, they’re going to be a liberal democracy. They’re going to be free-market capitalism.’ The same geniuses that got us into Iraq.”

Bannon also denounced George W. Bush and “his entire national security apparatus,” which included people like Condi Rice, Brent Scowcroft, Colin Powell and Dick Cheney.

Consistent with the disdain he has always had for the bipartisan permanent political class in Washington’s “Boomtown,” Bannon also blasted “the Obama crowd,” which he said was “almost the same.”

“Clinton crowd, almost the same,” he continued. “It’s three administrations.”

“We know now that W was merely a pawn of the globalists.”

Don’t forget the old man who stated in a speech that “ From henceforth we pledge our all allegiance to the sacred principals enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations”

The sad thing is that a lot of good people were chased off this website because they dared to call out GWB as a liberal globalist tool more than a decade ago.

I don’t disagree. In the rear view mirror of history the GWB administration looks a bit worse with every passing day.

Had Gore won, i really dont think it would have made much difference... not enough to matter.

Just like there would have been absolutely no difference the McCain or Romney administrations and the Obama administration, had either of those two frauds won. These presidential candidates are specifically chosen to give the appearance of choice, when in fact there is no substantial difference between any of them. That's the real take-home message here that I've learned since the GHWB administration.

George H.W. Bush showing his true colors vis-a-vis Reagan.

I'm not a big fan of Charlie Rose but I've always thought he gives a good, and generally fair, interview. He reminds me a lot of a more refined version of Phil Donahue -- unapologetically liberal, but very professional and inquisitive when dealing with people at the other end of the political spectrum.

Personally, I watched this interview and came away with the impression that Rose had never met someone like Bannon in all his years of interviewing political figures.

Say what he might, the swamp won by getting him away from Trump.

I have a much higher opinion of Trump than this.

He looks great to the Globalist Free Traitor™ establishment.

You are correct. There was little toleration for dissent back then. I hope people have woken up and learned.

Yes , Bush has been a real disappointment for me, as well, especially as I really believed in him. The husband and I made our way to DC so that we could witness the Bush inauguration in person. I cried tears of joy when he took the oath. Threw a big party each year to celebrate his inauguration. Now, I feel like a chump.

Yup, I was one of those patriots and didn't appreciate his snarky remarks.

PDJT is a return to 1988, the last year of Reagan

In a nutshell, that is an immense nugget of Truth. The Reagan era was some of the happiest times of my life.

Intense anger has ensued since then until the early morning hours of 11/09/16.

The ship has been saved

The GOP would have fought Gore.

***
I think you mean that they would have put on a big show of fighting Gore, just as they did with Obama.

Well, my estimation of Bannon just went up some. The Bushes were secretive, sly, polite, genteel ENEMIES of the people of the USA. Poppy was a true wolf in sheep’s clothing and brought down 2.5 presidents. I’m not sure how much autonomy W had or wanted to have, having had his father bail him out all the time and arrange his positions.

I agree that in appearances after 9/11 he was far, far better than Gore would have been. But the Bushes were globalist power freaks. And they fooled us.
