A Greek life retreat scheduled to take place at the University of Mississippi was cut short last weekend after a banana peel was found hanging in a tree on campus.
Student Ryan Swanson admitted to tossing his banana peel into a nearby tree after he was unable to locate a garbage can. Shortly after he disposed of the peel, it was spotted by Alpha Kappa Alpha President Makala McNeil, a leader of one of the schools historically black sororities.
Despite Swansons explanation, a report from the student newspaper claims that students left the retreat in tears after finding out that McNeil has discovered the peel. McNeil claims the students didnt feel welcome or safe on campus.
To be clear, many members of our community were hurt, frightened, and upset...

Two words.
Snow. Flake. Emphasis on “Flake”.
Whatever would these little pansies have done if they found themselves on a street where there was a considerable number of horse-drawn vehicles? They couldn’t have been able to step ANYWHERE.
‘What thin skinned lunatic would construe this as anything but a discarded banana peel?’
a college educated Negress...?
Some blacks need to understand that some actions in life are completely random. They also need to put things in perspective. This isn’t 1the 1930s and a banana peel isn’t a burning cross.
Do these black students break into tears when they pass the banana display at the supermarket?
I say try a watermelon next...
LMFWSCAO!!!!
These morons are so secure in their lives here in America that they know they can misbehave and do and say all sorts of horrible crap, and "guilty white society" will just cut them a break because "math is racist" or some other drooling idiot-level phlegm.
If they were in half as bad a situation as they pretend they are, they couldn't open their flapping lips without getting a club to the coconut.
Screw 'em all. Over a million caucasians died freeing these effing ingrates. Next time a war breaks out over colored people, if we just shoot all of them instead...
...problem fixed. LOL!
It will make their heads explode, because nothing rhymes with orange.
...I love it!
Somewhere in a local zoo, a chimpanzee is laughing his @ss off, having snuck out in the night and climbed up the tree with his snack, ate it and then beat it back to confinement.
Some people never grow up. Some should still be in pre-school, or a mental institution.
Either way, they’ve really slipped off the edge here. At least with the traditional faux hate crimes, the supposed crimes are actually acts no normal person would condone: vandalism, bodily mutilations... okay bacon slathered on the door of a mosque would be an obvious exception. :)
Outrage over a banana peel in a tree deserves all the ridicule it can get. I’ve spied banana peels hanging from bushes in my own yard (they get tossed and land wherever), so what’s the rap on that? They even turn black after a while. Shudder!
Aren’t there any adults in charge any more to put a stop to this nonsense? Sometimes a pipe is just a pipe, and a banana peel in a tree is just a banana peel in a tree!
What does a banana peel in a tree have to do with anything? I don’t get it. Have we lost our collective minds? How about a water melon or fried chicken on campus?
Are bananas symbolic of anything?
Or was it just that something/anything was found hanging in a tree?
What if it was an apple core? Or
A local nature walk park here you see banana peels all along the trails.
I guess they would go bonkers here......................
I was raised just north of Oxford, by 34 miles.
I cannot fathom what has happened to Ole Miss.
It’s gone insane.....................
Well, the banana peel was hanging in the tree - that has to be real scary to those who are terrified of the word “Trump” written in chalk.....
