Thank you for giving us the history of Sheriff Joe and for saying that a pardon should not have been needed. The very need for a pardon is a grave injustice to a man who devoted his entire adult life to secure the blessings of liberty for those of us who remain unacquainted with the dirty, ugly, depressing and dangerous underworld.
