Good evening, radu...it’s raining! Not hard, but the street is all wet and the drops were falling on me when I took out the trash. d:o)
And we are supposed to have more overnight. WOOHOO!
Any rain going to make it your way?
I was up at 2:15 and 6:15 and Mom had a really bad time just standing and turning. I think the days of her being able to stand and turn, and then reversing are numbered.
Today was interesting....the second refrigeration repair guy came and Suzye said he knew his stuff; better than the first guy. He ordered a new part on the spot and it should arrive in 2 weeks. Then Suzye’s boss came to give her a 300 question test for a new certification. I didn’t want to mess up her test, but I hoped that Mom would push the button in the middle so the boss could see how she works. She pushed it multiple times in the first half hour. Yikes! Suzye always left the monitor at the table and the boss could hear everything that went on. Her boss was impressed. So am I...this is NOT a job I could do.
And she passed!!! Now she will get a raise. The boss read the notes from the first day and was surprised at the deterioration since the beginning of May. And she understands more why I say any substitute MUST talk to Suzye before coming.

I did say “older”. :-)
I have a death grip on Peter Pan and refuse to grow up. But that doesn’t work so well in some regards. LOL

YAAAAY! Finally raining! ‘Bout time, huh? Hope you get a nice amount overnight.
We got .3 an inch this afternoon and had a very brief shower a little while ago. Rain chances go up tomorrow and up a little more Fri. Looks like we might get a little something in the next hour since there’s a batch in AL headed this way.
Dang, don’t like hearing your mom’s having that much trouble standing and turning already. She is not going to take too well to being bed-ridden and having to wear diapers that need to be changed by Suzye or you. Or bed baths.
What was the refrigeration guy working on? Is your refrigerator on the blink? Shoo, you just had boiler repairs to deal with recently and really need another bill. Not!
Congrats to Suzye on getting new certification! And good that your mom let the boss see Suzye in action and see just what she’s dealing with. It’s one thing to hear about it and another to see it in real time. Now she has a much better understanding.

Thankfully I have a warranty on the fridge...I hate having to pay for them, but this is the second time it has needed repairs at no cost to me. d:o)
Evaporator? Something that starts with an “E” has a pinhole leak. He put a patch on it and it started to frost, which it wasn’t doing before.
I’ve fallen asleep twice. I’m crawling off to bed, hoping she will sleep all night.
Sleep well when you get there.

I didn’t realize you had problems with it. Cool you don’t have to pay for the repair. You’re lucky. It seems like most thing don’t mess up until right after the warranty runs out.
Hope your mom sleeps through the night too. That’s ALWAYS a plus! :-)

WELCOME TO THE
Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our
Military, our Allies, and their families.
Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen
for today's activities.
Dropping by to salute
our brave men, women, and allies.
Thank you for all you do.
Popping in to say hello.
It's been a busy week at the homestead.
We've gotten rain and, since then,
the days have been a bit cooler, which means
not going to the pool much.
So, I've started back at the gym, 3 days a week; plus,
I still walk the girls when the mornings are nice.
Next week, two of our grandchildren are coming for a week, so
I'll continue to be scarce.
Today, we have workers coming
to begin running gas lines for a new gas fireplace.
Which means, that by the time some of you
wake up, I'll be gone again.
I'm hoping once this is done, I can take a break
from home projects until next year.
I really need to get back to my writing.
Luvy, I managed to take the quiz this morning:
You Are the Upper Left Quadrant
Remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS
So, come on in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM ~ DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

My B-I-L, who is our amazing lead guitar player, is suffering from early-onset Alzheimers. It’s one day at a time...and Glen Campbell was an inspiration to us.

Prayers for your family as you all struggle to deal with this horrible nightmare of a disease.
It’s my daily fear that I’ll one day suffer from it.
