I really don’t like this churn in the WH.

It makes President Trump look weak and foolish. The left is seizing on this of examples of Trump being a “mistake.”

This is either terrible vetting by Trump or an incredible amount of deception by his appointees.

He needs to get this settled and quick.

I don’t understand why he never had a “come to Jesus” meeting(s) and laid out what he expects from all his staff in terms of comportment and keeping him in the loop.

If Trump worked for me in an organization as, say, a VP, I would fire him for this kind of turmoil in his direct reports.

Maybe he is playing 4th dimensional pan-chess but I don’t see it.

You knew this was going to happen, but if Kelly has no way of controlling Scaramucci or Bannon or Jared or Ivanka then he’s getting set up for failure himself.

Trump sure seems to like Generals, doesn’t he? He has great respect for military men...

What this clearly and not so subtly conveys is President Trump tried to work with the establishment...they bit his hand several times. Trump tried playing nice. Those were rejected and the establishment laughed at him, sold out to the media, the Russians, the democrats, and the donors...the establishment chose their kingdoms over we the people. Now, they have a tactical war chief to deal with and the gloves are off.

This back drop can be cut and pasted in describing why Scaramucci was hired, too.

Good, Preibus was the Uniparty mole in the White House.

It also gives Trump the opportunity to get a Homeland Security Secretary that wants to enforce the laws.
Kelly wanted amnesty so he didn’t have to.

Preibus was only there because he was at least smart enough to know that Trump had the RNC by the balls following the first debate and a Trump third-party run would be a disaster for them.

Now with the Senate imploding, looks like Trump is going Third Party anyway. Ciao.

Who gets the Secretary of DHS job now?

President Trump can appoint an acting secretary of his own choosing.

If he doesn’t appoint someone else, Elain Duke, Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, automatically moves up into the slot.

She’s anti-border wall and another Obama holdover.

Although she has been around in the federal government since the Dark Ages and did work in the George Dubya Bush administration.

“If you think this war against our way of life is over because some of the self-appointed opinion-makers and chattering class grow ‘war weary,’ because they want to be out of Iraq or Afghanistan, you are mistaken. This enemy is dedicated to our destruction. He will fight us for generations, and the conflict will move through various phases as it has since 9/11.”

Glad Kelly is the choice rather than Scaramucci, as there had been some rumors that Mooch would be the replacement. Priebus was beneficial during the campaign, but he hasn't worked out as COS. Regardless of the circumstances, the Obamacare failures had to be the final nail in the coffin for Reince since he was the main connection to the GOP in Congress.

Good decision. Maybe the WH won’t look like amateur hour now.

All I can say is “wow!” Priebus is out! I wonder how quickly he’ll turn on Trump?

Kelly to Chief of Staff may have more to do with North Korea than with the daily soap opera consuming the MSM gossip sheets.

I am disappointed it wasn’t Newt - a vociferous defender (particularly with the Mueller investigation), someone who knows how to get legislation through, and someone who would run a tight ship. I also know he’s a solid conservative and believer in what Trump ran on.

That said, I feel sorry for Priebus in a certain sense, especially being humiliated by the Scaramucci interview. Reince was picked to handle legislation and advised Trump along with his pal Ryan to start with Obamacare. That was a disaster. They should have started with taxes like Trump wanted. Also, I know that some of the people he brought in from the RNC during the campaign and post election were people who were Never Trump folks and have been responsible for a lot of leaks. Short just got fired over leaks. There were also rumors Reince was a leaker for months (Scaramucci accused him as such as well). If he was a leaker or had staff that were leaking, he needed to go. I don’t know for a fact, though, at this point.

Kelly likely won’t have much sway with Congress but there doesn’t seem to be much swaying with them anyway...Those on the left will complain that Trump is surrounding himself with military people...Don’t they claim these positions are supposed to be filled with civilians??? And legality involved with that???
