I really don’t like this churn in the WH.
It makes President Trump look weak and foolish. The left is seizing on this of examples of Trump being a “mistake.”
This is either terrible vetting by Trump or an incredible amount of deception by his appointees.
He needs to get this settled and quick.
I don’t understand why he never had a “come to Jesus” meeting(s) and laid out what he expects from all his staff in terms of comportment and keeping him in the loop.
If Trump worked for me in an organization as, say, a VP, I would fire him for this kind of turmoil in his direct reports.
Maybe he is playing 4th dimensional pan-chess but I don’t see it.
This candidate 'churned' through three campaign managers in the 6-9 months before a general election. And WON bigly. I would rather see stability, and I would rather circus atmosphere die down, but I do not mind changes and re-arranging people to get some things done. This move in particular is a good one. The COS was a real problem in the White House and seemed to either be a leaker, or have brought in the leakers. Almost everyone accused has been an RNC long-timer. Those are Priebus people. A do-over is needed. Hopefully some stability to follow not too far down the road.
Lincoln had to fire a lot of generals before he got to Grant.
ALL new administrations get a honeymoon period (except Pres. Trump of course) in which a new administration has time to get up and running.
But, there are always holdovers’ leaks and staffing issues. Even Ronald Reagan’s admin had the same problems. Tensions between his chief of staff, Donald Regan, and WH staffers were a constant source of daily reporting. The papers were full of it.
So no matter what President Trump does he will come under unfair criticism from the left and the right. President Trump is anathema to the creatures of the black lagoon.
