An Australian woman engaged to marry an American next month was shot and killed by a Minneapolis cop Saturday night after calling police to report an incident, leading her family and investigators to question what caused the deadly shooting.
The woman, identified as Justine Damond, 40, was killed in the late-night shooting in the city's Fulton neighborhood, Fox 9 reported. She reportedly had called to report an assault.
“Two Minneapolis police officers responded to a 911 call of a possible assault just north of the 5100 block of Washburn Avenue S. just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday,” the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said in a news release. “At one point, an officer fired their weapon, fatally striking a woman."
Police were trying to determine whether any video of the incident exists. The body cameras of the officers involved were not activated, according to police.

Multiple sources have confirmed to KSTP Monday morning that the identity of the Minneapolis police officer who shot and killed a woman Saturday in southwest Minneapolis is Mohamed Noor.
Noor joined the department in March 2015 and is currently assigned to the 5th Precinct in the southwest part of the city.
A source with direct knowledge of the shooting said Monday that the woman was shot multiple times. The source said that Noor was sitting in the passenger seat at the time of the shooting.
Noor reportedly shot across his partner who was the driver of the squad at the time. The shooting occurred at 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
Never ever call the police to respond to your location.
Incompetent cop. The tragedy is he probably won't suffer anything worse than dismissal from the force over this.

Minneapolis....... this means the shooter cop is Somalian.
This is murder. Unfortunately, the killer has a very high-grade protection and will probably get to sue the family of the woman he killed for islamophobia.

How often do we try to blame the victim when the victim is Black? Even when we don’t know all the facts?

The reality is that many cops are always professional.
The reality is that a small number of cops are very unprofessional.
The reality is that many cops are professional most of the time but on rare occasions slip into unprofessional conduct. Only on rare of the rare does that unprofessional conduct result in a tragic death.
We need to look at this honestly. When a victim is Natural Born citizen Black, we need to believe innocent til proven guilty just as we do when the victim is Australian.
Shooting across, as the passenger in the car, toward the window where your other cop is the driver, at the gal standing there? I would be curious how he pulled the weapon while in a sitting position. Something bout this story doesn’t really sound logical. And the driver-cop? You’d have to be pretty tense after the bullet missed you by four to six inches, and hitting the gal.
It is intentional bad grammar related to sex/gender. Becoming more common in the PC world.

Yes. There’s more to this story than told, and I don’t think it will be good. According to KSTP, the Somali cop was sitting in the passenger seat and fired across his partner and hit the poor woman several times. It was obviously intentional, and there can be little doubt that the woman was unarmed and not a threat since she was the one reporting an assault. No cop-cam to verify, and no comment from the other cop.
I would sure guess the driver was a female cop, or a homosexual/transgender.

I want to take a moment to recognize Officer Mohamed Noor, the newest Somali officer in the Minneapolis Police Department.
Officer Noor has been assigned to the 5th Precinct, where his arrival has been highly celebrated, particularly by the Somali community in and around Karmel Mall. The community even hosted a meet and greet event (see pics) to welcome him. A wonderful sign of building trust and community policing at work.
Welcome Officer Noor and all of the new officers in their new precinct assignments across the City.
Reports are the cop cams weren’t on. What’s the point of having them?
