Chief Justice Appears To Take Shot Across Gorsuch’s Bow
Daily Caller ^ | 07/07/2017 | Kevin Daley

In remarks given at a judicial conference in Pennsylvania this week, Roberts reiterated his long-held view that the Court should speak with one voice wherever possible — that is to say, he supports a consensus-driven approach to opinion writing in which the justices strive for unanimity and avoid writing their own concurrences or dissents. In doing so, he appeared to rebuke Gorsuch, who has flashed a propensity for writing on his own in his first months as a justice.

“A couple of rubber stamps. Nothing more, nothing less.”

Very true! All the same Trump needs to complete the crafting of a completely reliable 7/2 SCOTUS as quickly as the departures of Kennedy, Ginsberg and Breyer will allow. Then, perhaps these two worthless female turds will seek employment elsewhere, particularly if Trump’s picks are all 49 years old like Gorsuch.

At least Benedict Arnold was a hero of the revolution before he became the traitor of the revolution...

What's interesting about Arnold is that when he attempted to help his "new friends" (they gave him command of regular redcoat troops), the fact that Arnold was present in a battle actually inflamed the Continentals, so that his commands ran into much stiffer hostilities than the rest. His superiors had to take him off battlefield commands.

When the war was over and he moved to England, nobody there wanted to associate with him, even though he has supposedly been supporting the Crown.

Nobody likes a sellout.

There is a photo floating around of Roberts with one or two guys who appear to be gay...

Looks like the Deep State has some secrets on Chief Justice Roberts.

We’ve known for some time the “secret” they have on Roberts is either his being closet gay and/or a very dodgy (criminal) manner with which he secured an adoption. I think he should quit.

When he upheld Obamacare everyone said “blackmail!”. Bah, I think he’s just not as conservative as originally hoped. He’s full of himself, too clever by half.

Gosh, you mean just because a judge's "judicial philosophy" is marketed as "originalist", it doesn't mean they will magically do the right and vote the way we want?

I'm shocked, I tell ya, shocked!!!

Oh well, let's keep nominating blank slates with no evidence that they are conservative, cuz their "judicial philosophy" is "originalist".

I’m a fan of evidence, as far as I know there isn’t any for this alleged blackmail plot.

He can opine all he wants to, but that doesn’t make it so, and I hope Gorsuch will continue to give his opinions. That’s the only way we really get to see how they really think.

Sometimes you can’t get definitive evidence, but it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

I was wondering if Roberts could remain a justice but the office of “Chief Justice” could be given to one of the other justices....would the senate have to concur or could Trump just do it?

No. It’s a specific office. If they wanted to move Roberts in favor of another (say, Thomas), each would have to go through the confirmation process again.

Forget “definitive” evidence, how about “any” credible evidence at all? What we have is supposition.

A lifetime appointee is not a great blackmail target.

He didn’t vote how we wanted a couple times? I think horse, not zebra.

Sometimes all we can go by is a gut feeling that something is very amiss. Believe me, I’ve had more than a few “gut feelings” over the years that have turned out to be true.

His “ruling” on ZeroCare smacked of something very wrong, and gave off the strong appearance of blackmail (or threat). His lifetime appointment doesn’t matter here. If he came out and admitted he broke laws with respect to adoption in order to halt the blackmail, he’d be forced out and Zero would’ve appointed a successor. This was a win-win for the blackmailers (obviously Zero’s people).

Republicans wouldn’t have impeached him with Obama in office over some minor BS (if it’s even true, again I’ve heard no proof at all there was anything wrong with his adoptions, if there is we should blackmail him now, LOL).

Frankly, I think he should just resign and go make some money in the private sector. He’s been the worst Chief Justice since Earl Warren.

Has a younger Justice ever just quit the court (other than Hughes to run for President)?

So you think he’s worse than BURGER?
