Teacher suspended after student's Trump T-shirt censored in yearbook

The yearbook advisor at a central New Jersey high school had been suspended after the President Trump logo on students’ clothing vanished from their final photo.

Grant Berardo, 17, says that he was shocked to find his “Trump: Make America Great Again” shirt had lost its political message in Wall High School’s “Behind the Scenes” book for 2016-2017.

Wall Township School Superintendent Cheryl Dyer said that the district is investigating why that image, and Trump’s name on another student’s sweater vest, were wiped out.

Dyer’s office confirmed ... that an unidentified teacher was suspended pending an investigation.

Mrs. Susan Parsons is listed as the yearbook adviser on Wall High’s website.

I grew up in the same town, Wood-Ridge, as the Berardo family. Solid family. Glad to see Joe is pushing this with the school district. FWIW, Wall Township is heavily Republican and near the shore communities of Spring Lake, Belmar, Brielle and Colts Neck.

They should put her picture in the yearbook with the Trump shirt photoshopped onto her blouse.

That ain’t going to happen but making the school and teacher apologize might.

These yearbooks are probably about 40 bucks each, if this school has 500 students that would be 20 Gs to be sweated out of the taxpayers.

It would cost the school district a lot more than $20,000 to defend itself in a legal battle — especially if the lawsuit is filed in Federal court as a civil rights action.

They interviewed the kid on Fox & FRiends this morning. He said he wanted a reprint of ALL the yearbooks with non photo shopped pics.

Offer all students a chance to receive a yearbook with the photos left unadulterated and charge the teacher the full fee for printing, shipping and any other costs.

Silly me ... I assumed this photoshopping was the work of an uppity student -- in which case the teachable-moment would have been simple "outing" and "embarassment".

But, a teacher !?

Forget "outing" and "embarassment" ... fire her sorry *ss. As a "teacher" (and I use that term loosely these days) she should know better, and her dismissal serves as an example for other "teachers".
