Pelosi's aide came to her assistance, passing her a note alerting her to the slip-up she's made many times before
Shortly after calling into question President Trump's mental health on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe,' House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's own mental health came under scrutiny, as the 77-year-old California congresswoman referred to President Trump as "President Bush" and forgot what day of the week it is.
A reporter quickly helped her correct the gaffe, interjecting "Trump," but Pelosi appeared oblivious she slipped up.
An aide then emerged from the sidelines, passing Pelosi a note, notifying her she got the two presidents mixed up again.
Pelosi's confusion came just two hours after suggesting Trump was losing his mind. "I am concerned," she said on MSNBC, about Trump's "fitness for office."
"I think his family should be concerned about his health," Pelosi said. "The fact is that this is hopefully not reparable -- hes the president of the United States."
"You mean you hope it is reparable?" Joe Scarborough asked, apparently confused.
"Yeah, yeah," she replied.
Asked if she had advise for Trump, she said, "go to sleep, get some sleep. Bring yourself to a place where your synapses are working."
During her weekly press conference, Pelosi not only became confused over who is president, but also what day of the week it is.
"I spoke to the speaker a week and a couple days ago -- last Friday," she said. "What is today? Friday again?"
I laughed and laughed inside...then I remembered a post yesterday from someone who has had both parents go through it.
She is embarrassing herself..and there probably isnt much her family can do about it.
My grandfather had it, my wife’s grandmother had it, and it begins like this....................
Wisdom should come with age. Older politicians like Pelosi, McCain, et al, should know it’s time to pass the baton.
She seems more and more unaware of where she is and what is going on around her.
The leftist freaks will prop her up as long as she’s breathing, perhaps beyond, just like Gabby G, for whom you will NEVER see Big Media zoom in, and she’s always FAR AWAY from the cameras.
My mom passed away at age 91-and was way better at communicating and remembering than Nancy is, now.
If she has any family members who love her... they need to get the hook and yank her away from the public eye. She’s embarrassing herself and embarrassing them.
It’s very sad to see someone losing it. My FIL was a victim of Alzheimer’s.
Along with aging Supreme Court justices??? Such as Ginsburg, who should be heading off to New Zealand, given her stated feelings about Trump. Her stated desire to go to New Zealand should lead her to go there and enjoy her retirement.
ever see the movie, RED? Remember the guy running for president in the end? Remember the quality of his intellect?
That’s how i see most career politicians. and when they turn 77 it gets worse.
I wouldn’t wish this on anyone and I pity her family having to watch her.
They could step up and ask her to resign.
Not only is “she embarrassing herself” she is embarrassing Congress Just as McCain is embarrassing the Senate. Both should resign and retire before they further embarrass themselves......
Yes, it is getting fairly obvious, to even the Left wing press................
My elderly aunt who was the picture of mental clarity thought she was losing it at 95 when she couldn’t remember where she placed her checkbook. Pelosi doesn’t even know she’s lost it.
Never saw it....................
You need to.
Seriously. :-\
;-)
As long as she’s where she is, they benefit from perks................
The only thing these people enjoy is power, privilege, and constant reminders that they are special.
.... Considering this and many other similar incidents .... I am really beginning to think that Mr. Trump has an Angel on his shoulder.
Bless her heart..I have had those moments, too.
yaelle said one of her parents accepted with it ease and other fought it tooth and nail.
I suspect Mccain and Pelosi will insist on staying in the limelight and continue to embarrass.
