The USAA financial services firm says it is reinstating its advertising on Sean Hannitys Fox News Channel program after receiving heavy criticism from many of the military members and veterans that it serves.
The company said Tuesday it will also start advertising again on other programs where it had suspended its ads, including Hardball and The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC, and Jake Tappers The Lead on CNN.

USAA honchos have forgotten the organization is a member-owned cooperative.
It is time for the members to organize a focus group to roll heads at the top of the food chain.
Count me in for that “ping” list.
Call it the USAA WAKE-UP LIST.
The plan for occasional Media Matters style onslaughts is to not freak-out when your marketing department goes into a panic over a handful of tweets, and insists that you do something.
The typical marketing department is staffed by young females who attended liberal universities. In reality
six tweets is NOT going to put you out of business.
Ever since he came out of the closet....................
I agree with you but Rush had (and has) a level of control of the business side that Sean Hannity does not. This is Fox News’ call. Correct me if this read of the situation is not accurate though.
That’s what I didn’t understand. You’d think they’d be smarter than to alienate so many of their own customers.
Yeah, kinda heard a big “WHUMP!” down the street at 9800 Fredericksburg Road...but they’re still the best at customer support and claims processing.

HA
I told USAA they better reconsider or that I would cancel my car and condo insurance. Guess I don’t have to now.
I was white hot mad. The woman actually told me to stop yelling. LMAO.
I did not stop yelling. At one point I said... do you know how much Sean Hannity does for veterans? She said, YES, but can I tell you our policy.
I said.... NO, I don’t want to hear your horsecrap.
She damn well knew I was subscriber, because I had to give my pin number first.
He is right over the target now both here and in Europe.
To me that reads that they will advertise for a little while and then quietly drop their advertising in a month or two.
Sean Hannity was fighting back today. He was running the corrupt news media wild charges against everyone they target. Yet none of them have been fired.
As if any of these Trump-hating “reporters” give a damn about the truth when they can score political points.
The next top management meeting should be interesting.
I wonder if they’ll fire the liberal idiot that suggested this?
Or will they still be too afraid to stand up against this politicq, in the boardroom??
“To me that reads that they will advertise for a little while and then quietly drop their advertising in a month or two”
If any business decides to not advertise politically, that’s a perfectly legitimate business decision. All I ask is to be neutral in implementing that decision and to do so deliberately, not as a reaction to pressure groups.
But if they’re going to get involved in politics, even as the result of caving to pressure groups, they get to reap the rewards that come with that decision.
Look at Wegman’s as an example.
So those USAA members for life commercials hit back at them. To be frank, USAA can kiss butt as far as I am concerned. Back in the day, back when I was on active duty as a slimy enlisted man, I tried to join USAA. They refused to take enlisted people. I was told that USAA only took officers. I tried a couple of times at different places to get USAA auto insurance while stationed in Germany. Some of my officer friends had great coverage for low costs while we enlisted swine had to get insurance from German insurance companies and paid the big bucks to get it. Now, USAA takes enlisted folks apparently because of the lack of enough officers on active duty to keep the company going I guess. So, I was not interested in joining up when I got a letter in the mail offering their insurance. I have been with my current auto and home and furnishings insurance company for over 25 years. USAA can have their for life people all they want. It won’t be me.
I’m a USAA member, and call them that day. The guy I talked to hadn’t yet heard about it (I was pretty fast) and was just as mad as I was. Said he loved Hannity.
“Well Sean just tweeted that everyone should support them that they are back on his show so maybe those rumors about him being fired were all BS”
indeed. just like most of the crappy rumor/faked/anonymous “news” being posted at FR these days. Just plain ol’ ordinary garden variety BS. And too many FReepers here get all worked up like this garbage is actually true.
You’d think FReepers would understand about fake news, but apparently too many don’t.
They should fire whoever dragged them into the Hannity political muck.
