Congressional technology aides are baffled that data-theft allegations against four former House IT workers who were banned from the congressional network have largely been ignored, and they fear the integrity of sensitive high-level information.
Five Capitol Hill technology aides told The Daily Caller News Foundations Investigative Group that members of Congress have displayed an inexplicable and intense loyalty towards the suspects who police say victimized them. The baffled aides wonder if the suspects are blackmailing representatives based on the contents of their emails and files, to which they had full access.
I dont know what they have, but they have something on someone. Its been months at this point with no arrests, said Pat Sowers, who has managed IT for several House offices for 12 years. Something is rotten in Denmark.
A manager at a tech-services company that works with Democratic House offices said he approached congressional offices, offering their services at one-fourth the price of Awan and his Pakistani brothers, but the members declined. At the time, he couldnt understand why his offers were rejected but now he suspects the Awans exerted some type of leverage over members.
Theres no question about it: If I was accused of a tenth of what these guys are accused of, theyd take me out in handcuffs that same day, and Id never work again, he said.

I’m amazed Sessions doesn’t make smart judicial plays-—he certainly knows how to do it.
Why doesn’t Sessions unrecuse himself?!
I agree that Sessions is a fine man...a conservative and a patriot.
However, reality is that he's tied his own hands with his self-imposed, too-broadly-drawn recusal....and he has no free voice on the current important and politically-lethal legal issues any more, especially those concerning our President.
The Justice Department right now is like Washington Irving's Headless Horseman, galloping around on a steed in today's swirling maelstroms, but with little-to-no authorative voice speaking from the missing top of the body astride the steed.

No, it’s not. And he had to recuse because of Russia connections. No need to panic. Sessions is right where he needs to be.
Without knocking Sessions, DAG Rosenstein is more of a bulldog by far than Sessions. Rosenstein’s problem may be that he stays away from stuff where he’s not invited.
Who's panicking? I have nerves of steel.....and the patience of Job.
"Sessions is right where he needs to be".
Unfortunately, the Attorney General is NOT where he "needs to be". He needs to be visibly and audibly in command as the head of the Justice Department.....protecting the interests and the security of the American people plus protecting the interests of those public figures currently being destroyed Alinsky-like through leaks and fake, unsourced news.
How long is this highly-untenable situation going to drag on...and on...and on?

I’ve noticed this error being made on many websites since DWS grilled Verderosa. People don’t seem to understand that the Capitol has its own police, separate from the Metropolitan police.

Leaks from the past two weeks.
DC needs to be sanitized from top to bottom. Every congressman, senator, judge, appointee, civil servant, diplomat, lobbyist, and yes, every DC miltary officer in position of authority needs to be "dipped" for muslim ticks and see what floats to the surface.
Maybe the need an “aggressive” guy like Napolitano ???
But they sure DO need a "bulldog" or a pitbull.
Emasculated. That’s exactly and perfectly correct. Sessions can not possibly battle the darkness overtaking our nation with his dress pulled over his head. Tragic for the Trump administration.
From # 23:
Current FBI with the Acting Director is very Corrupt and in the pay of the Clintons....He is rumored to be focused on structuring the coming impeachment of President Trump....
Thanks, Ernest_at_the_Beach.
Napolitano? Not sure if you’re being serious or sarcastic. A few days ago Napolitano was loudly singing the praises of Comey and his wonderful ethics. How Comey will always do the right thing. We switched channels.
BUMP!!

LS, I was hoping you would have responded to Leni's post here. Unless you know something we don't know and Sessions is pulling a rope-a-dope on everyone, can you honestly see him being effective in Trump's initial promise of draining the swamp or was that just campaign rhetoric to you? I would say one of the biggest reason I voted for Trump was for this and the border wall to be done as well as REPEALING Obamacare, and I am sure a high percentage of other people voted for him in this same way. I guess we need to give Sessions more time but his silence to me just seems to be more of the same nothingness of Republican RINOs that just kick the can down the road and long for the days they are the minority party so then they can act tough, but do nothing while in charge and have every majority going for them. If they stall now do we expect them to get things done in 2018?
I repeat. Sessions is doing just what he needs to be doing.
