Federal immigration agents arrested 188 people in a five-day operation ending Wednesday that targeted criminal aliens and people who had violated immigration laws.
In the raids, carried out between Saturday and Wednesday, 146 Mexican nationals were apprehended, along with citizens of several countries in Central America, East Asia and Eastern Europe.
In total, 177 men and 11 women from 11 different countries were detained.
Nearly half the arrests, 93, took place in Los Angeles County.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported Thursday that 169 of the people arrested had previous criminal convictions.
Among those who had previous criminal convictions, 43 were for drug offenses, 27 for domestic violence and 30 for driving under the influence. Only three of the detainees had prior convictions for illegal re-entry. Operations like this are emblematic of the vital work ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers do every day seeking to locate, arrest, and ultimately deport at-large convicted criminals and other immigration fugitives who pose a threat to public safety, said David Marin, field office director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Los Angeles, in a statement.
ICE touted the arrests of a 29-year-old Salvadoran convicted of rape who had been previously deported; a 51-year old Mexican national who had served three years for cocaine trafficking; a 47-year old Mexican who had convictions for assault and battery and had been released by local authorities despite an ICE detainer request; and a 26-year-old Salvadoran who is a registered sex offender.
Detained immigrants who do not face criminal charges will be slated for deportation.
The raids were labeled a targeted operation against criminal aliens by ICE, although some arrests of potentially undocumented foreign citizens were made on the spot.
During targeted enforcement operations ICE officers frequently encounter additional suspects who may be in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws. Those persons will be evaluated on a case by case basis and, when appropriate, arrested by ICE, read a statement released by ICE.

WINNING !!!

Ack ack!
They need to speed it up.
I hope ICE will keep them detained until deportation. If not, ICE will never see them again.
Only 6, 800,000 to go....just in California.
One can’t help but wonder if there are law enforcement folks who are working with ICE in spite of the maniac policies of sanctuary governments.
I thought we only had 6.8 million legal residents, but then what do I know. “:^)
Slowly the worms turns for the American People...inch by inch...step by step...another group falls....
You’re absolutely right.
There’s an ICE detention center up the road in Tacoma, WA that they detain upcoming deportees in.
Since President Trump took office they’ve been sending the illegals they nab there from WA and OR. The libs in Portland and Seattle have been going ballistic about it but they keep sending them there, it’s hilarious.
That figure wouldn’t surprise me at all.
Only 200? I would have expected them to arrest over 9,000!
Where I live in a town of only 21,000, at least 8,000 of them are illegals.
Come on! They can do better than that!
yeah. That’s what I was wondering. “Aliens’’ Where were they from exactly?
200 down, 12,000,000 to go.
I hoped they plucked a few out of some sanctuary cities!
Oh no! Governor Moonbeam is not amused.
When is E-Verify going to be implemented. That will really dry up the funding of illegals. The savings in costs for education, housing, incarceration and medical services will be in the tens of billions.
They should be sending them to Chevy Chase as well.
Amen...If E-Verify were strictly enforced it would solve many of the current problems, it’s sad that the Uniparty has no interest in it.
