[snip] Faith, Keith and I arrived early to set up for the interview in a room adjacent to another room where a volunteer BBQ was to take place. As the time for the interview neared, Gianforte came into the room. We exchanged pleasantries and made small talk about restaurants and Bozeman.
During that conversation, another man who we now know is Ben Jacobs of The Guardian walked into the room with a voice recorder, put it up to Gianforte's face and began asking if he had a response to the newly released Congressional Budget Office report on the American Health Care Act. Gianforte told him he would get to him later. Jacobs persisted with his question. Gianforte told him to talk to his press guy, Shane Scanlon.

This is one reason why I support early voting. It takes away all the party tricks they do to one another. 60 percent already voted so it’s possible that GOP will win. However, if this was Pennsylvania it would have been a disaster for GOP because they only allow you to vote the day of election.
The media is totally out of control—I have ZERO belief in anything they say-—
Fox has completely self-destructed. Murdoch should disown his two idiot sons.
Are you kidding?!? She will be a super star in the Murdoch’s brat’s eyes.
Acuna is just another nail in Fox News’ coffin.
They have been running this nothing burger story on every news channel and outlet here in TX. The media is in full press to slam anything republican.
They are enemies of the people.
“Sorry but what Gianforte did is ok by me. Id like the opportunity punch more than a few of them in the mouth.”
I find it disgusting that you would be sorry.
Well said.
Yep.
I’d vote for him because he did this.
It is not a matter of “who cares”. This is character assassination, done up close and ugly. An untrue and disprovable assertion is made, then the story is “walked back” when the push-back is vigorously applied.
This kind of fake news did not used to be subject to a strong disavowal, and the narrative got embedded in the national consciousness BEFORE it was dismissed. Allegations of this sort are now being made, not as an attempt to try to make the parties involved to “come clean” but as a means to dismiss and marginalize them entirely.
Alinsky tactics raised to national “shadow government” Deep State policy.
You have missed the point completely. The vicious Leftards have smeared the R. candidate with a totally ridiculous set-up provocation, enabled by the delusional FoxNews reporter. No one remembers when these smears get discredited, only the initial flamethrowing headlines have a lasting impact.... just as intended.
If Gianforte’s embarrassed by the AHCA now, just wait until it passes.
Frankly I wouldn’t give a damn if reporters are regually beaten. They didn’t even bother reporting when Trump supporters where attacked and beaten up. Screw em.
What is a “volunteer BBQ”?
I hope he gets elected because more than a few body slams will be needed to drain the swamp.
“The race to fill Montana’s sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives took a violent turn Wednesday, and a crew from the Fox News Channel, including myself, witnessed it firsthand.”
Yeah, and Washington Post reporter Ben Terris claimed to have witnessed Trump aide Corey Lewandowski attack Michelle Fields.
These days your default position ought to be that these scumbag political reporters are liars until proven otherwise.
Maybe a trend will start of body slamming these leftist media slimes. We could start a rating site....that’s a 9.5 on Trump’s body slam of Don Lemmon!
What’s a body slam?
I just heard Acuna on Hannity’s show. She didn’t sound like she was backing down.
