Staffers on Hillary Clinton's losing campaign struggled to come up with a coherent explanation for why the former first lady and secretary of state wanted to become president.
Some top aides, in turn, floated the idea of using "because it's her turn" as a campaign rallying cry, Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes report in "Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign," a new book revealing the Clinton campaign's inner workings. The book details the competing egos and reported infighting among Clinton campaign staffers.
The candidate herself could not articulate vision for why she wanted to be president in calls and internal meetings with her staff, the book says.

“I don’t have any policies, I just wanna be president.”
I think the same could be said for Obama. He liked the things that go with being President. And, he might have liked the idea he could “stick it to the man”, but as far as actually doing the day to day stuff, not so much.
because when you shatter the glass ceiling, there is definitely brain damage: Hillary. It’s her turn.
This sounds like a bad joke.
Too many who were against her thought she had gotten the nomination exactly because “it was her turn.” To turn it into a campaign slogan would have been incredibly stupid.
Harold Stassen should have had that phrase trademarked and copyrighted.
Remember the George H. W. Bush was taken down by “the vision thing.”
Once again, Dumbos are oblivious to the optics.....this is indicative of not just a party in disarray, but a desperate loser party sliding into oblivion.
Kaine on the campaign trail.....the enthusiasm was palpable (smirk).
Being president is not like ‘your turn’ to use the ladies room.
Tim Kaine gave the democrats a lock on the creepy old white gay man vote -
To be honest, her campaign slogan wasn’t that different, in spirit, than that.
“It’s my turn” might not have been Hillary’s official slogan, but her pet media puked it forth as one of her two main messages. The other was “Vote for Hillary because she is female”, loosely defined.
“Hillary’s turn” might appeal to the pre-school set, and her gender might appeal to bigots. Most voters have only a tiny personal stake in a candidate “BEING” anything (with the exception of Black, which HRC was not). Votes are cast because of what voters believe a candidate will DO. Hillary’s history suggested that would involve corruption, incompetence, micromanagement, skullduggery, scandal, amorality, egotism, and government that was a bully at home and a pansy abroad. Small wonder Hillary repeatedly fell back on “re-introducing” herself. But even that was all about who she IS, not about what she would DO. Trump was all about what he would DO.
Lesson: Action defeats Being.
He’s perfect for Democrats.....LOL.
“Because it’s her turn.”
Personally, I preferred “Because she has a vagina.”
Clinton, isn’t she dead?
Tillerson may be the next President after Trump. I'll place my bet on T-REX!
