Former President Obama said Monday that if his checkered pre-politics life had taken place in today’s social media oversaturated world, he might not have been able to win the White House.
He repeated stories about his own drug use in his younger days, saying that marijuana use was “what teenage kids did at that age when I was growing up.”
And while he wrote about those experiences in his book, he acknowledged that if that behavior had been documented more thoroughly it might have derailed his political career.
“If you had pictures of everything I’d done when I was in high school I probably wouldn’t have been president of the United States,” Mr. Obama said as he spoke to students at the University of Chicago, making his first return to the public stage since leaving office in January.
He was asked about social media and how it can come back to bite young people in the future, and he cautioned them to be aware.

Oh, please. Obama no more wrote that book than he aced his college courses. Bill Ayers wrote it, lock, stock and barrel.
The truth was there and reported. It was ignored. (I almost said ‘whitewashed’ but that would be racist, wouldn’t it?)

If it doesn't get onto the trillion dollar broadcasting infrastructure owned by the New York conglomerates, it didn't get "reported" to the American people.
Since left wing forces have complete control of that broadcasting infrastructure, they can manipulate elections by hiding news such as Obama's habitual drug usage throughout his life.

I grew up in Newark. Drug use was rampant; my friends did it, I sat in school next to junkies; later, it was at the job.
I never tried it once.

Where I lived it was rampant. But, in high school I didn’t, nor did anyone in my group of close friends.
But, what he’s saying is very true for the 70’s.
I guess it depends where one grew up.
