Good. The first of many I hope.
Self deporting won’t happen until we put pressure on employers and cut off benefits. That is not happening yet.
We must not be satisfied with only removing those already convicted of felonies.
We should not have to wait until illegal aliens harm or kill Americans before they are removed.
I don’t believe Trump ever said illegals with criminal records could stay. Of course the media ignores the difference between legal and illegal immigrants, so why bother to distinguish between those who commit further crimes here and those who don’t?
Agreed. I’m hoping to see President Trump gradually raise the pressure (gradually so there will be less chance of a judge thinking he has the basis to yet again overreach in legislating from the bench), perhaps over the course of this first year.
First, Trump has not changed the Deferred Action program.
Second, the article is wrong - more than three minor misdemeanors disqualifies anyone and this kid has four.
So, this guy would have been deported even if Hillary were president (disturbing horse sounds in background).

Deportation is the smallest and least useful weapon in the border protection arsenal. It does play an important role — not for those that get caught but as a deterrent.
Under the administrations back to Nixon, enforcement was a joke. Even if they went to the INS office and jumped up and down and screamed SOY ILEGAL! they couldn’t get deported.
Trump is making it clear that NO illegal is safe from deportation AND the days of “catch and release” are over — appeals will now be heard in the home countries.
They have expanded the circle to include criminals like this one and clearly have just decided to ignore DACA (since it really doesn’t exist).
Next phase: go after businesses that hire illegals: HARD.
A few follows from Home Depot to lugar de trabajo and 10K fines and word will get out quickly.
Make it more comfortable at home than to be here and they will self-deport. In MASSIVE numbers.
What is being ignored is Trump’s pledge to end the illegal DACA program.
It is still operating as if it were law even though it is just as illegal today as it was under Obama.
This guy violated the terms of DACA, that’s why he was removed. The other 765,000 won’t be removed.
Boo-hoo. Throw all of them out.
