Deportation is the smallest and least useful weapon in the border protection arsenal. It does play an important role — not for those that get caught but as a deterrent.
Under the administrations back to Nixon, enforcement was a joke. Even if they went to the INS office and jumped up and down and screamed SOY ILEGAL! they couldn’t get deported.
Trump is making it clear that NO illegal is safe from deportation AND the days of “catch and release” are over — appeals will now be heard in the home countries.
They have expanded the circle to include criminals like this one and clearly have just decided to ignore DACA (since it really doesn’t exist).
Next phase: go after businesses that hire illegals: HARD.

What is being ignored is Trump’s pledge to end the illegal DACA program.
It is still operating as if it were law even though it is just as illegal today as it was under Obama.
