‘Bathroom bill’ gone, but California keeping ban on travel to North Carolina
Sacramento Bee ^ | April 12, 2017 | Adam Ashton

Attorney General Xavier Becerra won’t lift a ban on publicly funded travel to North Carolina even though the Southern state repealed the law that California Democrats condemned as discriminatory against gay and transgender people.

North Carolina’s repeal of its House Bill 2, the so-called “bathroom bill,” late last month persuaded the NCAA to lift its own ban on sponsoring championship collegiate sporting events there.

Becerra found the repeal inadequate, noting that North Carolina’s new law bans local governments and universities from passing their own anti-discrimination laws. A number of civil rights organizations, such as Equality California, denounced North Carolina’s repeal of HB 2 for the same reason.

I have my own ban on travel to California. Have not travelled there in years by choice. My employer has to be reminded from time to time that I am not going there. Fire me, I don’t care I am not doing it.

In another post, Californians are whining about the rising sea water due to global warming.

Difficult to feel sorry for them... even if I believed in the global warming hoax.

This is the kind of shit that happens when a sovereign state indicates that it will cave to outside pressure.

Pretty soon California will only do business with its soul-mate, Mexico.

Which will be lucky for the rest of the country.

Spot on. Nothing good is ever gained when you concede anything to the decadent Left. Too bad they lack guts in North Carolina.

CA, on the other hand, does not ban travel to Cuba, or any Muslim country.

This is why you NEVER apologize or accommodate progressives. They will NEVER stop. Nothing will even make progressives happy and they will never stop their revolution.

There has to be a reason why these worthless so-called conservitive congresscriters don't see this, except they they are part of it.

Um, why don’t these California state legislators mind their own f-ing business? Who are they to offer their unwelcome opinions on other state’s laws?

How much does this even effect North Carolina (or any state)? Was there really a ton of state-funded travel from California? It seems especially irrelevant when they twist and turn to spin their exceptions for things like NCAA games, knowing making a stand on something like that would be too hard and actually make Californians apathetic to their antics take notice.

I wonder if anyone in these boycotted states even notices out of California's periodic shrieking of "WE'RE BOYCOTTING YOU BECAUSE YOU DON'T LET ENOUGH MEN INTO THE LADIES' ROOM FOR OUR LIKING!"

One will also notice this only applies to U.S. states, guess "anti-LGBT" countries like Mexico get a pass.

[Attorney General Xavier Becerra]

There’s that name.

Again.

And like last time, wrong.

Again.

California must be expecting that North Carolina will pass the bill repealing same-sex marriage.

It would be a huge relief to the REAL United States if California would just float away into the Pacific and leave us in peace. Over the past 20 years, they’ve gone from stupid to clinically insane.

IMO: Any federally funded organization that has a ban on doing business with any state or city in the US is banning people that help fund that organization. The federal government should come down on these people like a ton of bricks.

Play games with their local politics and stay out of others local politics.
