Getting dragged down into the unconstitutional socialized healthcare quagmire is insanity!

Posted on 03/30/2017 10:30:54 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Bad move by Trump. Ryan and the globalist big government GOPe RINOs are the problem not the Freedom Caucus. Trump is supposed to be draining the swamp by now, not swimming in it.

Put the interest of American citizens first! Freedom not socialism and tyranny!!

Good grief! Dump Obamacare already! Should have been done on day one and we’d be way on down the road to draining the swamp by now!

We the people have been demanding a full repeal for seven long years and that's the position Trump took with his original health care goal at the beginning of the campaign. What he's doing now is madness and it's quickly destroying any chance of party unity and therefore destroying his chances of accomplishing the rest of hs agenda.

Someone screwed the pooch, BIGLY!

And someone needs to get it back on track, pronto!

This is NOT the decisive action of George S. Patton. It’s the confused inaction of George B. “Little Mac” McClellan!

Where is our U.S. Grant?

Get it together guys or we lose the war.

BTW, this is for anyone questioning the unconstitutionality of federal government interfering in healthcare.

If the federal act is not an enumerated power delegated to the feds by the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended, it is not a legitimate power of the feds. Since nowhere does the Constitution delegate healthcare to the feds, their interference in healthcare is unconstitutional, invalid, and void.

The socialists have successfully merged medical treatment and insurance.

Automobile insurance carriers do not supervise the manufacture of cars. They insure expenses incurred for accidents and acts of God. The car owner selects the plan and the premium he/she can afford.

The same need to apply to health & accident insurance - it used to be a competitive industry of integrity, ethics, good risk management and public trust, under State guidance.

Now, it’s a Federal boondoggle.

Try telling that to Conservativemind. I think maybe the Russians hacked his FR account and keep posting that the freedom caucus are solely responsible for electing Ryan.

You know I meant un-constitutional in tbe previous of course.
It’s constitutional to REPEAL IT.

"Trump’s true colors are showing and they ain’t pretty."

Trump’s problem imo, like the vast majority of low-information citizens except for FReepers, is that he was probably never taught the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers, particularly Congress’s constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

As a consequence, while Trump’s intentions for the country are good, he doesn’t have a constitutional compass to guide him in draining the swamp.

Lest anyone forget here’s the campaign position paper on healthcare:

https://assets.donaldjtrump.com/HCReformPaper.pdf

Position point 1 is the complete repeal of Obamacare:

“1. Completely repeal Obamacare. Our elected representatives must eliminate the individual mandate. No person should be required to buy insurance unless he or she wants to.”

President Trump just let go a key ally of Priebus. We need to pray that he gets sacked, and Bannon becomes COS.

Yup. We should not even be involved in this big government socialist debate. Nuke the rules and do a full repeal with majority vote per the constitution!

That link didn’t work, but his original position called for a full repeal and replace with free market solutions, ie, removing restrictions on free markets.

Yup. Every unconstitutional federal act or law is invalid and should be nullified and rejected NOW by the sovereign states as demanded by the people of each state, and by the feds themselves whenever there’s enough pressure on them to finally get around to it.

I think Ivanka replaces Kellyanne. DJT seems to be moving back to native mode of only working with conservatives under pressure.

This is tearing us apart, and if someone doesn’t step in the Left is gonna rip him to pieces if conservatives are no longer holding vigil for him around the clock.

And as I pointed out to LS on another thread (well actually it was FreeReign who pointed it out) the examination of Ryancare and comparing it to ACA was only given to the FC two weeks prior to the planned vote and signing.

So this is why, at least IMO, it’s reasonable that the FC may have come back with more and more demands after the first or second rounds of negotiations. Because the ACA (Obamacare) had 20,000+ pages to go through! Do you really think you could effectively review 20,000 pages and be prepared for only ONE (of a very few too) meetings about it with those you are trying to negotiate about it with? Don’t you think it’s possible that after that first meeting you may find some MORE things wrong with it that should be removed?

Remember they only had two weeks to look at the replacement because Ryan kept it secret longer than that. And they only had a few meetings with Trump and Ryan both present.

So there’s nothing more nefarious than that behind this “moving the goalposts” charge than that.

And as I also have since pointed out, no one (the FC sadly included apparently) was even taking about restoring, at least in some substantive way, the ban on preexisting conditions. That’s Obamacare and if it’s “moving the goalposts” to keep demanding that then thank God for those moving goalposts.

Well not really since that’s the law of the land now. But at least the FC preserved the Republican Party from owning Obamacare. Because if the ban on preexisting conditions isn’t restored in some way then it’s still Obamacare no matter who’s name is on it.

Is there room for compromise sure but the total ban as it stands now cannot remain. It’s a complete impediment to the free market in the industry, and thus socialism by definition.
