I don’t buy his statement for a second.
That’s like Nazi High Command insisting that the Soviets approaching Berlin is an indication of its brilliant strategy.
No actual numbers provided in the editor’s statements or the article. Just take it on your faith in the unbiased and honest nature of the NY Times that their subscription numbers are through the roof.
Why not provide numbers
Liars.
ROTFL! Prove it! Let’s see the evidence.
You see, Trump is brining back more jobs for every American, even pinko-commie-libs !
:)
The NYT (”All the news we print is sh*t”) belongs in the supermarket checkout aisle.
See? President Trump makes EVERYTHING better! You’re welcome!
Titanic passenger: “I see the captain has steered us into this berg so that we have a ready supply of ice for our cocktails.”
Second passenger: “And he’s stopped the ship so we don’t spill.”
First passenger: “Why, he’s even tilted the deck so we can stroll downhill. Splendid chap, what?”
BS!

New York Times Co. Reports a Loss, and a Fall in Digital Ad Revenue
By SYDNEY EMBER JULY 28, 2016
Trump has got these guys where he wants them. Let them consuming their electronic ink defending themselves. Meanwhile, Trump is making America great again with a flurry of executive orders, diplomacy, meetings, and other actions.
But more than that -- Trump is right. The NY Times is failing!
Look at their 2016 annual financials released only a few days ago, with key table shown below:
Quick analysis:
The NY Times and other Fake News outlets are increasingly irrelevant. The public is turning them off. That's why posting a big TV commercial during the Oscars was necessary. The only people they can expect to attract as subscribers are folks willing to watch a Trump-bashing, America-hating event.
The trajectory of the NYTimes finances is not good. The march of alternate and social media and chord cutting will cause a world of hurt.
Now if you look at all these big MSM companies, their value as commercial enterprises is not that much. NY Times's market value is only $2.4 billion. News Corp. is not much more. Washington Post is private. So while these companies are not money makers, they are, of course, widely influential and so this is why they can find investors like Carlos Slim who has his Tracfone franchise to protect. Amazon's Bezos bought the WaPo a few years ago to protect their quasi-monopoly.
But the NYTimes and WaPos will always exist because they can simply cut their editorial staff to the bone. And web delivery is highly profitable as the world moves on-line. Newsweek died as a print publication a few years back but they still have a website.
Whistling past the graveyard.
I got a solicitation yesterday to have the Sunday NYT delivered for a mere $2 a week for a month, then it goes up to $10 per week.
I wrote on the subscription card that $2/week was too much for FAKE news, then using their pre-paid envelope, sent it back to them. I was thinking of wrapping up a brick and taping the envelope to it, but that was too much work. I had better things to do. ;o)
I can believe it only because liberals are buy subscriptions for two reasons:
1. Trump is Hitler and a danger to the world. They need the reporting of the NYT to protect them. (Pssst - If Trump was really Hitler, they wouldn’t be able to read the NYT).
2. They want to get back at mean Mr. Trump, so they give their money to (what they believe to be) the truth sayers at the NYT.
