The New York Times is flush with new cash thanks to increasing subscriptions, and the paper's executive editor says President Trump is to thank.
"Trump is the best thing to happen to the Times' subscription strategy," said Dean Baquet, executive editor of the Times on CNN Sunday. "Every time he tweets it drives subscriptions wildly."
He added, "Our digital subscriptions are through the roof, our print subscriptions are up."

I don’t buy his statement for a second.

That’s like Nazi High Command insisting that the Soviets approaching Berlin is an indication of its brilliant strategy.

No actual numbers provided in the editor’s statements or the article. Just take it on your faith in the unbiased and honest nature of the NY Times that their subscription numbers are through the roof.

I read on Z000 hedge that 49% of the subscriptions are from China, where it is banned online. More media fake news as they do the deathroll.

"Though the roof". Must be a very small roof.

it may be true... but once those new subscriptions realize that Trumps tweets are real and NYT is not then that balloon will surely pop... give it 6 months...

It may be true. Remember that 60,000,000+ people voted for the witch, and a large number of them are still in denial desperately looking for anything that panders to their liberal worldview. The Slimes is probably one of the three most liberal propaganda organs in the entire country, so I can believe that liberals desperate for something that agrees with their fantasy world would subscribe.
