Remainers had hoped it would be the night when they finally made a dent in Theresa May’s Brexit plans as they put forward a bewildering array of new clauses and amendments to the Article 50 bill.
Nine proposals in all, ranging from the rights of EU migrants to the opinions of the Gibraltar Government, were put to the vote, and one by one all nine proposals were thrown out by MPs.
It was a flawless night for Theresa May, as the EU (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill was passed by 494 votes to 122 in its original, unamended form.

Yup. May shooting off her mouth that the EO was against her princiuples...or something to that effect. She’s appesing her Muslims and back-biting Trump after he befriended her and strengthened her position by offering her a trade deal with the US that quieted the scardey-cats yelling about the economy in Britain falling without the EU.
Some friend she turned out to be. Mistake on her part. Trump won’t forget...he values loyalty above all. I wish Nigel Farage had become the PM because he is the one who made Brexit happen. He would have been a better PM for Britain and better friend to us.

The News media don’t appear to be very enthusiastic about it. Lots of whinging interviews on the radio news.
On a very local level , people aren’t talking about it. There may still be some residual Butt hurt.
On a personal level, the products in my usual Supermarket have changed for the better, already.

It appears that there are some British politicians who still refuse to accept the will of the people in that country.
The people won a referendum to leave the E.U. You'd think at this point that there wouldn't be any such thing as a 'Remainer' in that government.
UK leads the way for the others wanting out, showing that it CAN be done and HOW to do it!!!

Tonight’s Vote just proves that the adventurous spirit isn’t dead yet. It is incredible how the Public vote split the country along political lines, even within families.
You could feel the friction in the air for weeks.

This must be thoroughly "discouraging" and "demoralizing" to the globalists and their running dog leftist lackeys. Obviously some of MPs are feeling a bit of heat from their constituents. That isn't even close.
It happened in my family during 2007, when Obama was first running for president. I'm pretty much the sole conservative in my clan, so I was all but disowned by all of my kin except for my wife and kids.
It's par for the course, really. I've always been the black sheep of the family, so I'm sure they weren't totally shocked when I broke with the herd. Still, there are a few who haven't spoken to me since 2008. I lost a few long time friends back then, too.
Anyway, thanks for the kind invitation. It may be a few years before I get back to your country. The wife and I have wanted to visit my family's ancestral homeland in the Scottish Borders for ages. It'll take some real planning and saving to pull it off, but I think we will.

A proper free *and* fair trade and free travel treaty would be nice.
The people who voted Remain are sour and morose: continually sniping about how 'the UK is doomed now'. They are busily constructing elaborate narratives with the following themes:
"The British people soon won't be able to afford food/petrol/health care"
"When they begin to suffer like this, they will blame the EU and immigrants instead of blaming Brexit"
"There will be a huge propaganda campaign to make it seem that Brexit somehow worked".
I.e they are pre-emptively insulating themselves from future reality. They would rather the country failed than be proved wrong.
And for the next 100 years they will also insist that the Brexit vote wasn't legitimate, that it should have been a 2/3 vote and so on - while ignoring the fact that no-one in Britain voted to sign the Lisbon treaty in the first place.
In the meantime: those like me who voted FOR Brexit are jubilant. We are also relieved that we haven't been betrayed by our Parliament.
