Faces of Nazi guards who helped oversee the death of more than a million Jews at Auschwitz revealed as Poland publishes details of 10,000 of Adolf’s men
The names of almost 10,000 Nazi SS commanders and guards who helped in the extermination of more than a million Jews at Auschwitz have been posted online for the first time.
The huge searchable database, which includes hundreds of photographs, has been uploaded by Poland's Institute of National Remembrance (INR) in an attempt to dispel false claims that many of the guards were Polish. The list of 9,686 names are predominantly German and their pre-war occupations are listed as farmers, butchers, teachers, cobblers and all manner of jobs.

They are dead for the most part. A 19 year old in 1944 would be 92 years old now.
Their shame is where they are spending eternity.
Maybe I should have said self-serving? I don't have any particular interest one way or the other and even if I did I wouldn't go around repeating this with some independent corroboration. And no, I'm not going to be the one to provide the corroboration; but I'll read it if it comes along.

You need to read up on the Judenrat, the Jewish officials in Poland that collaborated with the Nazis. The Nazis told them how many bodies they needed, and the Judenrat picked the Jews that would be transported to the labor camps to be worked to death. (Unless, of course, the one picked had the resources to buy his or her way out).

The Jewish participation has always struck me as one of the most tragic aspects of the Holocaust. Trading one’s soul for a little more life.
They had lots of help like George Soros in killing people.
Soros owns the democrat party and many politicians.
It matters much to them ... and that's all that matters. Never fear the truth.
There are exceptions to every rule.
Alternate facts if you will; still Polish support for Jewish citizens was higher than many other European countries.
Some Jews cooperated with the Nazis also.
You want to blame Jews for the holocost?
Modern European history doesn’t appear to be your strong suit. There was a strong strain of anti-Semitism in Poland before (and to a lesser extent, during) the war. As in most of the Western countries.

They’re either dead or unrecognizable at this date. The time to post their photos on the Internet was 1948, which unfortunately did not exist at the time.

This effort by the Polish gov’t is NOT suspect. Facts are facts. The guards at Polish concentration camps were mainly German. There were some small amount that were Polish, most were not. There were Jewish Polish collaborators too. But the amount of blame placed on Poles as being some major contributor to the Holocaust are overblown, exaggerated, and basically an outright lie.
Many Poles saved the lives of their Jewish neighbors and/or hid Jews at risk to their own lives. There is no black and white picture of those horrible years in Poland, rather varying shades of gray too, and much hyperbole not based in fact.
I suspect it’s accurate, the names aren’t a secret. If not, someone will root it out.
I'm sure there were some, though France had a collaborationist government, defacto collaboration with the Nazis. And the Nazis didn't persecute French, they did persecute Poles, with the long term goal of their extermination.
The purpose of this, though, is confronting the widespread image of the death camps as Polish, which they weren't, they were German. Located in former Poland. It was part of Germany at the time of the camps.
There were no Polish guards at the camps.
That would mean the Nazis would have to give them rifles, the Nazis knew damned well what would happen if they gave a Pole a rifle, they’d shoot the Nazi straight away.
The head of the Judenrat for the Warsaw Ghetto killed himself rather than to let himself be responsible for the deportations.
