Democrats: Trump ‘Stole’ Neil Gorsuch Seat from Obama

Democrats were seething Tuesday night over President Donald Trump’s decision to nominate Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court, claiming that Trump “stole” the seat from President Barack Obama.

In a fundraising email, the Democratic National Committee said (original emphasis):

Judge Neil Gorsuch, Donald Trump’s newly-revealed Supreme Court nominee, has a legal history that shows a deep sympathy for corporate interests and an apparent disdain for workers.

Donald wants to put Judge Gorsuch in the Supreme Court seat the GOP stole from President Obama. Add your name to tell the Senate to reject his nomination.

As an attorney, Judge Gorsuch routinely represented big businesses in class action lawsuits. As a judge on the Tenth Circuit, he wrote a concurring opinion in Hobby Lobby v. Sebelius — the case that allowed employers to deny basic health care coverage to women by ruling the Affordable Care Act’s contraceptive mandate was unconstitutional.

If Buffoon Obama had an ounce of class he would have never named a Justice in the middle of a campaign.

Good grief. Stupid rant. If you got evidence of who “murdered” him, toss it out there. Otherwise, can it. This really makes this site more like what the accuse us of, crazies. Let the stupids do that crap. Let us stand above such silliness. I don’t believe the state of Texas would have covered up a murder of a Supreme Court Justice.

Yes. 0bama met with him. 0bama’s plane followed a similar path as Scalia’s. The body wasn’t flown back to Dulles. Instead, it was cremated at not one but TWO funeral homes, the latter having a furnace that burned hotter.

Murder.

Trump stole it because he wasn’t president yet. (Liberal logic)

Schumer voted against McConnell’s wife in committee.

LOL

I’m guessing they’ve murdered more than a few folks, especially among those who got on a Clinton’s wrong side.

Boo FREAKING Hoo. On Hannity’s show Laura Ingraham and another guest whose name escapes me said, with what appeared to me as great certainty, there was going to be another seat open this summer. For these two appointments alone, I believe Donald Trump will go down in history as the man who turned the United States away from socialism.

Why wasn’t his death investigated like a murder?

BTW my husband believes this as well. It was the first thing he said when they started talking about the SC seat. I have kind of forgotten the details.

How can it be stolen when Brak never seriously nominated anyone for the position?

Judicial Crisis Network Launches $10 Million Campaign to Preserve Justice Scalia’s Legacy, Support President-Elect Trump Nominee

Multi-Million Dollar Campaign Targets Vulnerable Democrat Senators

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The Judicial Crisis Network (JCN) today announced plans for a national campaign to confirm President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court. Coming off of its historic “Let the People Decide” victory in the Garland nomination battle, JCN will engage a comprehensive campaign of paid advertising, earned media, research, grassroots activity, and a coalition enterprise, all adding up to the most robust operation in the history of confirmation battles. JCN and its allies will focus on states where Senate Democrats are vulnerable in 2018, particularly those where Trump won by large margins. JCN spent more than $7 million in its Let the People Decide effort, and it expects to spend at least $10 million to confirm the next justice.

“We are preparing to launch the most robust campaign for a Supreme Court nominee in history and we will force vulnerable Senators up for re-election in 2018 like Joe Donnelly and Claire McCaskill to decide between keeping their Senate seats or following Chuck Schumer’s liberal, obstructionist agenda,” said Carrie Severino, Chief Counsel and Policy Director of the Judicial Crisis Network.

“Any vulnerable Senator who signs up for Schumer’s obstructionist strategy will pay a heavy price in 2018. Exit polls showed that over one fifth of voters said the Supreme Court was a primary reason for their vote and of that large percentage of Americans, Trump won those voters by a resounding 57-40 margin. And he won some of those states by overwhelming margins. The President-elect clearly has a mandate when it comes to the Supreme Court and this effort will ensure that the will of the people prevails,” Severino continued.
