PHILADELPHIA — Republican lawmakers aired sharp concerns about their party’s quick push to repeal the Affordable Care Act inside a closed-door meeting Thursday, according to a recording of the session obtained by The Washington Post. The recording reveals a GOP that appears to be filled with doubts about how to make good on a long-standing promise to get rid of Obamacare without explicit guidance from President Trump or his administration.

They are afraid they will screw up and have no guts. To get this done President Trump will have to come up with a plan and push it. They will pass it and if it doesn’t work the Republipussies will blame it on him. Otherwise would be perfectly content to leave things as they are. They are truly useless as tits on a boar.

That is not practical. We do not want to push a plan which is guaranteed to fail.

The real problem with Obamacare mandate is that it REQUIRES EVERYONE to purchase insurance with ALL THE BELLS & WHISTLES mandated by Obamacare, including employer sponsored policies.

Instead, the mandate should require everyone to buy at a minimum ONLY CATASTROPHIC insurance policy, which is much much much cheaper.

No one wants to foot hospital bills of a young healthy person who gets into a car accident and has no money saved to pay those astronomical hospital bill.

That must be it. It’s so easy. Repeal the mandate and the subsidies. Let it die on the vine.
Boy was that hard!

So publicizing John Podesta’s stolen emails to affect the election was bad, but publishing stolen (surreptitiously recorded) GOP conversations to affect the healthcare debate is fine and dandy?

Of course, this comes from people who think that executing convicted killers is very wrong but that killing innocent unborn babies is a sacred right.

“Instead, the mandate should require everyone to buy.... insurance”

What are you doing on FR? Where is there a mandate to buy anything in the Constitution? You need to go back and huddle with your leftist buddies on DU or huffpo.

“No one wants to foot hospital bills of a young healthy person who gets into a car accident and has no money saved to pay those astronomical hospital bill.”

We have two programs for that. One is bankruptcy and the other is Medicaid.

You are guilty of editing selectively which is exactly what the LIBERAL MEDIA practice. Why are you on this forum with such disgusting tactics?

Evidence: My post said “Instead, the mandate should require everyone to buy at a minimum ONLY CATASTROPHIC insurance policy, which is much much much cheaper.”

You edited my text as “Instead, the mandate should require everyone to buy.... insurance”

Sorry, I do not respect those who copy dishonest tactics of the vile left, to try and fool others on this forum. You should apply for a job at MSNBC.

My post said “Instead, the mandate should require everyone to buy at a minimum ONLY CATASTROPHIC insurance policy, which is much much much cheaper”

Your exact quote is that same old commie BS. Feel better now?

The purchase of ONLY CATASTROPHIC insurance is not still mandated by the US constitution. Are you going to have a penalty for those that don’’t buy insurance too? Why don’t you mandate other healthy activities while your at it. You plan will only lead to more federal encroachment on individual rights.

I suppose you consider yourself to be a conservative and a supporter of the US constitution. That’s a joke. You sound more like a rino politician or public school teacher or government bureaucrat.

How about an ongoing thread highlighting gutless, spineless GOPe/RINOs where their names are listed with their gutless actions highlighted? That way we can ensure they are remembered next year so they can be drained out of the swamp.

Power back to We The People and Drain the Swamp!!

These clowns opposed Obamacare and said they would repeal it as soon as they could. They said it couldn’t work and they were right.

That was back in 2010 when it was passed by a Democrat controlled Congress which was voted out of power in part because of this program.

WHAT THE HELL HAVE THESE CLOWNS DONE IN THE INTERVENING SIX YEARS???

WHAT THE HELL DO THEY GET PAID FOR?

WHY THE HELL DO WE KEEP RETURNING PEOPLE LIKE RYAN, MCCONNELL, GRAHAM, MCCAIN ETC TO OFFICE?

WHY THE HELL DON’T THEY HAVE A PLAN NOW TO REPLACE OBAMACARE?

Post their names daily and primary them. Put them on notice now that they can order their packing boxes. These hacks didn’t learn a thing on November 8th, did they?
