That is not practical. We do not want to push a plan which is guaranteed to fail.

The real problem with Obamacare mandate is that it REQUIRES EVERYONE to purchase insurance with ALL THE BELLS & WHISTLES mandated by Obamacare, including employer sponsored policies.

Instead, the mandate should require everyone to buy at a minimum ONLY CATASTROPHIC insurance policy, which is much much much cheaper.

No one wants to foot hospital bills of a young healthy person who gets into a car accident and has no money saved to pay those astronomical hospital bill.

“Instead, the mandate should require everyone to buy.... insurance”

What are you doing on FR? Where is there a mandate to buy anything in the Constitution? You need to go back and huddle with your leftist buddies on DU or huffpo.

“No one wants to foot hospital bills of a young healthy person who gets into a car accident and has no money saved to pay those astronomical hospital bill.”

We have two programs for that. One is bankruptcy and the other is Medicaid.
