Liberal mayors and governors across America are pushing back at President Trump's immigration orders. The president took executive action on Wednesday to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, increase the number of ICE agents who work to find and deport illegal immigrants, and end sanctuary cities.
Mayors like Rahm Emanuel said not on their watch. Chicago, he insisted, will remain a sanctuary city.
Other liberal leaders pledged to protect illegal immigrants in their states.
"If there is a move to deport immigrants, I say then start with me," New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said. "If we're going to deport immigrants than who is safe?"
Be careful what you wish for, governor.
Trump addressed the Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday, pointing out an important group that's not often mentioned in the immigration debate - the families of those who lost their lives at the hands of illegal immigrants.
He said they will "never be forgotten."
Great Idea, when can we expect to celebrate
“I say then start with me,” New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said.
OK.
But then we’ll find out he’s an anchor baby or something, then he will weep like a little girl and refuse to leave, as they all do when their hand is called.
I wonder why he didnt say ‘arrest me first”?
Much like ‘Faces of Meth’ sure seems like years of liberalism can take a toll on a fella.
Adios, Andre’.
We barely clung to life after about 2007 - the tail end of the Bush years. Illegals started eating up so much of our retail work, I had to start taking on odd jobs that I would have formerly considered far beneath my status, skill, and experience.
We went from having six full time employees, to just me by my lonesome in my pickup truck. It was devastating. We lost our house, our cars, our motorcycles, fancy toys, bank accounts, credit, and most of all, our security and peace of mind.
Our family lived rougher than I'd like to admit for two to three years, when I finally just gritted my teeth and began fighting on the illegals' terms. I cut our street prices down to a level that was on par with theirs, and finally began getting work again, but at 45% less than what we made before.
The Obama years were hard for us, but we've somehow managed to claw back much of what we lost in that time. We're still not making what we're worth, so we make up for it by hustling like 23 year olds. That's really hard for a guy my age, but I know my stuff, and my eldest kids do most of the heavy lifting on the jobs.
This is why I can't wait to see the illegals begin disappearing from the job sites, one by one. I'm hoping that by the end of this year, we'll finally be able to raise our prices close to something reasonable. I'm sick to death of feeding my family on peon's wages.
Italy won’t want him or his father back.
And this jabloni gets Sandra Lee.
I’m So sorry. I agree. Get them
Out of
Our job market.
Bravo for
How you handled it. We didn’t have that
Luck.
That suits me fine!
Who knew Cuomo was here illegally.
Yo! If it was legal I would!
Sounds good to me.
For Cuomo, it’s always about Cuomo.
I would HAPPILY deport Cuomo. Preferably from an airplane, sans ‘chute. He is a total pig, happily giving away the store so long as the money’s not his.
Maybe he’s not an illegal qualifying for deportation, but he does qualify for being arrested. I would love to see a Federal Marshal put this puke in handcuffs.
Only if they're ILLEGAL, you fool!
