Assessing President Obama's legacy, the panelists on today's Morning Joe seemed in competition to outdo each other with misplaced praise.
Historian David Maraniss led off, calling Obama "the Jackie Robinson of American electoral politics."
Next up was Joe Scarborough, who upped the ante by placing Obama in the same category as Martin Luther King, Jr.
Batting clean up, Walter Isaacson hit one out of the hyperbole park, claiming that "Obama will go down as one of the great presidents we have ever had."

He has complete disdain for any American institution, and any American cultural legacy. His biggest "accomplishment" has been watering down any sort of American exceptionalism. Our military, our healthcare system--he repeatedly talked down the economy, and certainly despised publicly any successful business. (Who remembers the "you dint build that!" comments?)
Since his first term, he began beating away at law enforcement (The police officer that "acted stupidly.") By the middle of the second term, he stoked the fires that led to numerous riots and outright murders of police officers.
He seems to enjoys basketball, golf, and hanging around with pop culture icons (particularly R&B "musicians" and rappers.) He's governed as he began his public career...a professional agitator and community organizer.
By the way, does anyone remember the liberals that actually defended "community organizing" as sufficient experience to be President? These are the same people who decry Donald Trump as being "inexperienced" and unworthy of office. Liberals are such hypocrites...if not for double standards, they'd have no standards at all.
