Obama has one last chance to force his pick for the Supreme Court, Merrick Garland, on to the highest court in the land.
Obama will have a 5 minute window known as intersession recess when he can force the move.

"In the meantime, Garland would end up losing his seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit."

And it sounds exactly like something he would do, too.
By now, I would think that Mitch Mc Connell will have a workaround ready to eliminate this possibility.
Otard will do it. He’s an ahole. It’s in his nature to stupid things.
What are the odds of the spiteful, Marxist Moslem doing this?
1-1?
L.E.G.A.C.Y.
I would hope McConnell does have a workaround but he is Mitch McConnell after all.
What are the odds of Garland agreeing to the career risks for a 1 year appointment.
Actually, I’m amazed he never nominated someone for it all of last year. Was he hoping HRC would appoint him?
Gotta sell “papers” everyday. A 5 minute SCOTUS? LOL.
I hope he does it.
There should be no more Mr. Nice Guy after that. Trump!
High if he is a typical lawyer.
They tend to be egotistical jerks.
I don’t think a year of this guy would do us much good.
Heard on Fox that this was a non-starter because a recess appointment just fills a position for a year or until a full time nominee is approved. So as soon as Trump’s nominee was approved by the Senate, Garland would instantly be out of a job, so there would really be no benefit for Obama to put him on the court for what would most likely amount to a couple months.
“By now, I would think that Mitch Mc Connell will have a workaround ready to eliminate this possibility”
Seriously? You have faith Mitchee would anticipate AND prevent this? The only thing stopping this will be Obummer
not wanting to give Trump a vacancy on the DC Court. The only thing.
He could also install Eric Holder in this 5min window.
... for a one or two month appointment.
Anything is possible but I seem to recall reading that Garland went back to his old job. I doubt Garland wants to be a justice for less than a year and have to vacate his current (lifetime) position to become a footnote in Scotus history.
Not happening.
One place the GOPE fools are willing to erect a *wall*, and keep it, is around hard-fencing Bark out from his typical end runs around Congress to get his way. No Supreme Court pick is coming his way.
