The best way to fight terror is with “openness”, European Union (EU) head Jean-Claude Juncker has said, stressing that Europe must continue to receive migrants in the wake of the deadly truck attack in Berlin.
Speaking to Funke Mediengruppe on Saturday, the president of the European Commission warned that the “rhetoric of exclusion” strengthens terrorists, and called for more EU involvement in nations’ internal security.
Standing firm on the idea that liberalism is the best response to repeated attacks on Europeans, the EU chief said: “Our values, our way of living together in freedom, coexistence, and openness are the best weapons against terror.”

It is also possible they feel so far removed from the travails of ordinary people that they are simply not aware of the misery they are causing.
Remember, the EU has been set up as an ultra-elite super-government of great wisdom and immense power. It was the intent of its founders to form this ultra-elite class, that would be able to consider policy decisions from the point of view of pure logic, so that their good intentions could be realized without having to worry about petty politics, of the sort that is unavoidable when you have to deal directly with the ordinary citizens who must live with your decisions and have no security cordon, no gated communities and separate facilities within which to find refuge.
It was precisely this sort of detachment, this sort of faculty-lounge ennui, that our Founders sought to avoid by keeping the majority of power local, in the States and Counties. They knew history, and therefore they knew that greatly concentrated, centralized power tends to insulate itself from ordinary people and rule as if from a throne in the sky.

My guess is that there is a lot of oil money going to EU politicians, on the condition that they keep the doors open so the Muslim countries can continue to send their unskilled troublemakers there.
