1960 World Series: Numbers that even a brain-dead Hillary-Bot can understand
Self ^ | December 30, 2016 | Self

In the 1960 World Series the losing team scored more than twice as many runs as the winning team, as the Yankees won three blowout games (16–3, 10–0, and 12–0), while the Pirates won four close games (6–4, 3–2, 5–2, and 10–9). Regardless of how many runs the Yankees had the Pirates won the series by winning the most games. How many Yankees fans have been mocked over the decades for claiming they really won the 1960 World Series because they had more runs? Even the brain dead liberal's at ESPN can understand the Yankees lost under the rules.

In the same fashion, under rules understood for 230 years before this election, Trump won the most games/states/electors in this election so that is the end of it. California, New York, Illinois, and every leftist crybaby can suck it.

Here is the detail from Wikipedia:
The 1960 World Series was played between the Pittsburgh Pirates of the National League (NL) and the New York Yankees of the American League (AL) from October 5 to 13, 1960. It is most notable for the Game 7, ninth-inning home run hit by Bill Mazeroski, the only time a winner-take-all World Series game has ended with a walk-off home run.

Another unusual aspect of this World Series is that the losing team scored more than twice as many runs as the winning team, as the Yankees won three blowout games (16–3, 10–0, and 12–0), while the Pirates won four close games (6–4, 3–2, 5–2, and 10–9). The Series MVP was Bobby Richardson of the Yankees, the only time in history that that award has been given to a member of the losing team.

A few weeks ago, I went through about 10 years of NBA finals. I have since deleted the info I compiled, but I believe I had come up with 3 times the team losing the series had scored more points over the course of the series than the winning team.

I also use the baseball analogy.

The Mets score 2 runs on 3 hits with no errors. The Phillies score 1 run on 10 hits with no errors. It doesn’t mean the Phillies win 1100 to 230.

Cubs and Indians both scored 27 runs in the last World Series, in fact Cleveland should have been crowned champions because after 9 innings of Game 7, they had scored one more run than the Cubs in the series.

So you’re saying that if I’m out playing nine holes of golf with Mr. Megan and he scores a 45 and I score a 57 that I win, right?

Just this year, the Cubs scored just one less run than the Indians for the series.

And in last year’s Super Bowl, the Panthers outgained the Broncos by over 100 yards.

First world series I had any awareness of. I remember, still, how Mazeroski’s name was spelled in the box score:

“M’z’r’ski”.

I guess they didn’t have enough room to make it fit.

Forget baseball. What about tennis which many liberals seem to love.

A guy loses the first set 1-6, comes back to win the second 6-4, loses the third 0-6 (He gave up rather than wasting energy on something that was lost after he was broken in the first game of the set.), and then wins out 6-3, 6-4.

He's champion even though he won only 19 games to his opponent's 23, to say nothing about who won the most points. Those are the rules.
