Two Electors from Colorado have gone to court in order to be faithless to Hillary and the Democratic Party. Even though Colorado was declared for Hillary, these electors have stated that they will be faithless.
My question for you Democrats is whether this is OK with you?
And in the Future when a Democrat has won the electoral college, will it be OK for faithless electors to install a Republican President then?
These Electors failed in court. How will the Democrats feel in Colorado with their votes not represented in Washington?
Liberals are always all about living in the moment and instant gratification. If it feels good do it. They don’t care about laws as long as they get their way.
Dems don't think that far ahead. All they know is that they want their sippy cup and they want it NOW! Waaaaahhh...
Very true.
And this goes back to personal hubris, i.e, I as a liberal know best. I know what should be, better than all others.
For example, so-called single-sex marriage. For 6 to 8000 years, people in every society on earth declared marriage is a union of a man and a woman. There was and is no other case. Yet, today’s liberal knows better than billions of people throughout history and he knows better than what God has declared in the Bible. And today’s liberal (like Hillary) can change on a dime. Within a few years, throw out long-standing historical perspectives and replace them with the cause du jur.
Today’s liberal is smarter and better equipped to deal with societies issues than all those ancient idiots and bigots who didn’t have their enlightened perspective.
Heard that Hillary electors are threatening to vote for Bernie in Washington State (2).
“And in the Future when a Democrat has won the electoral college, will it be OK for faithless electors to install a Republican President then?”
“Liberals are always all about living in the moment and instant gratification. If it feels good do it. They dont care about laws as long as they get their way.”
Reminds me of the “nuclear option” and filibuster. When it was convenient for them, they changed the rules and they got their way. They’ve set the precedent and now WE can go nuclear option and they’re not happy about THAT.
Liberals might be too stupid to think that far ahead, but Soros is OK with it, because it promotes chaos and breaks down the rule of law, and he is one who knows how to use chaos to his advantage. He is like the Shadows on the Babylon 5 TV series from the ‘90s.
The Shadows were not Nazi collaborators.
A common American custom is for the loser ... when the loser is a good sport and not a sore loser.... for the loser to withdraw and move for election of the winner by acclamation.
This is done when the loser truly has the best interests of the organization at heart. I’ve seen this in fundamentalist churches, in Alinsky organizations, in fraternal organizations, political party organizations and in political issue group organizations.
Would it be so bad in the electoral college for someone to act in the best interest of the nation?
Democrats can always be counted on to steadfastly cling to those princibles which most greatly favor them at the momemt.
The thing I have found wrong with asking electors to vote for Hitlery, when, it is clear she is the least qualified of the two. Had, they asked electors to vote for Pence, JEB, or Cruz, they might have had more credibility.
1. It’s worse than you think. CO is one of the states that has a law preventing faithless electors. These guys are required by law to vote for Hillary. They are only blowing smoke, they will vote for Hillary.
2. Meh, liberals don’t know history. Everything is unprecedented. If any elector ever doesn’t vote for a winning Dem. The world with erupt in outrage over this unprecedented breakdown in the fabric of the universe and no one will mention Bacca’s name ever even once.
