The Democratic party needs to find a leader who'll keep it from being taken over by the liberal wing or it'll risk losing more elections, warns former Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman.
In an interview to air Sunday with radio host John Catsimatidis on "The Cats Roundtable," Lieberman stressed the importance of political cooperation between both parties.
"Here is my fear about the future of the Democratic Party," said the former Democrat who served as the party's 2000 vice presidential nominee. "In a way, relatively speaking, Hillary Clinton was representative of ... center-left of the Democratic Party, not the pure left."

Lieberman is so clueless he is closing it after the barn burned down!
More than that, they’re Marxists, who see history as the struggle between groups for “power.” They have no understanding of individual liberty, and its function as the foundation of our civilization. Their view also rationalizes any tactics needed to “win,” as they see politics literally as a fight to the death. There is no “coming together” possible with them, and trying to compromise with them is suicide.
Republicans all over America put up ‘Sore Loserman’ signs following the 2000 presidential elections! I remember it happening here...HEH HEH..
I’d prefer the Communist Left to the Fascist Left any day.
The Communist Left can’t win any offices and thus can’t leverage those offices to do damage. The Fascist Left, on the other hand, has conducted a Reign of Terror for decades now.
It already has.
Joe, you’re absolutely right. Hush....
CC
That was my immediate reaction to the headline. What did he think Obama represented?
No no, Joe, the democrats need to keep doing what they’re doing. They’re doing a great job.
LMAO.......
What does he think Obama is?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Obama was one of the most liberal Senators while he was there.
Hitlery is a Marxist as well as Obama.
The Democrat party is the party of Marxism. How much further left can you go? You can’t.
Lieberman’s propaganda falls on deaf ears. Another phony telling lies and propaganda.
Left “might” take over. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. You are 30 years late on your prediction Joe Blow.
..and no paddles!
Everything he did after that was just a theater act by a melting clown face.
I don’t agree that most America’s are poorly educated on socialism. They have a decent idea of it. The bigger problem is around half the nation self identifies as Socialists. There was a poll that showed 47% of Americans support Socialism. Almost all Democratic Party members WANT Socialism.
It is not a question of complete ignorance, but of stupidity. These people don’t realize that Soclialism doesn’t work. They all believe it just has never been done right. But it is not as if they don’t know about Capitalism, it is that the half of Americans who pay no Federal taxes whatsoever know they have more to gain by stealing from the producers via Socialism, than sitting on their lazy asses and watching hard working people profit from Capitalism.
When half the nation is in the wagon and not pulling it, they are going to want wealth distribution from the half pulling the wagon. Half of all Americans WANT socialism, so they can remain lazy, fat, dumb and happy at the expense of the hard working and the risk takers.
I’m hoping the left-left takes over and runs them into the ground.
Actually, perhaps Joe is beginning to rise out of his delirium. As Dennis Prager has pointed out for years, to the Left one can never be “too far Left”. I think Joe is beginning to see what most rational people (i.e., non-Leftists) know what has happened to the [socialist] Democrat Party.
Identity politics may bring a new possibility. The dem’s tent is not full of cohesive people, but many factions that don’t get along with each other.
Regardless of what the current black leadership says, blacks and latino’s don’t like each other much, Mexican illegals are taking their jobs. Jews, LGBT’s and muslims surely are at odds.
And the list goes on.
This is a clip of voice impersonation legend Brian Whitman calling in to Glenn Beck's show during the 2004 election campaign to do an interview as "Joe Lieberman." The impersonation is perfect, and the content is hilarious.
Glenn Beck interview with 'Joe Lieberman'
"My asset going into that debate against Dick Cheney was my raw, unbridled sex appeal."
LMAO!!
Don't ever forget that.
Yep -too late Joe - your “spitballs” quip is even more apropos today. Thank God for Trump and realize that your Party has become incorrigible....
